Just stealing work from others to make one consolidated thread on RB options. We need a RB in this class considering Clyde is leaving.
MORE LIKELY options:
Kevontre Bradford 4* #14 RB
5’11” / 193
Lancaster TX
24/7 profile
High level analysis (per DandyDon site):
very fast, “big burst” back with track speed.

OFFICIAL visits taken: tOSU, Wisconsin
LSU OFFICIAL visit: Jan 24
ANNOUNCEMENT: ?? (Feb 5)
TD poster Dlab2013 has made the following bold claim through multiple threads:
Darvon Hubbard 4* #23 RB
6’0” / 195
Willow Canyon AZ
24/7 profile
High level analysis (per DandyDon site):
smooth, fluid runner who uses his blockers and is patient. He’s also a very good receiver.

DECOMMITTED from tOSU in Feb
OFFICIAL visits taken: Utah, San Diego St, Purdue
A&M OFFICIAL visit: Jan 17
LSU OFFICIAL visit: (??) Jan 31 (??)
ANNOUNCEMENT: Feb 5
*credit poster GaTiger27 who added this info:
had over 2000 yds and 30 TDs this year out of AZ.
from 24/7 article earlier this summer:
LESS LIKELY options:
Jahmyr Gibbs 4* #16 RB
5’11 / 194
Dalton, GA
24/7 profile
Mentioned on this board as Brady’s first choice, though not sure of source or how accurate that statement is.
High level analysis (per DandyDon site):
quick and elusive. He can catch but was not thrown to a lot in high school.

They have told me I'm the top runningback on their board and I'm looking forward to visiting LSU because I've never been there. I have a good relationship with Tommie Robinson and he's coming out here to see me before I visit. They have been to my school to see me a couple of times already. We talk every week, almost every day, and I think I could be a good fit there. They have a great class already and I could see myself being a part of it."

Mike Drennen out of Ohio was once very high on us according to his coach and was planning on arranging a visit at one time. Then we went all in on Evans. He reminds me some of Gibbs. He is an APB and was used allot as a slot receiver. A 4.5 forty,4 -star. He did not sign yet with anyone. Has visited Kentucky, Florida, Southern Cal, and Arizona State. He is a Kentucky lean. Has one visit remaining. Has offers from us, Alabama, Auburn, USC, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, Notre Dame,Florida, Tenn, Penn State, Miami, and allot more.

Still a nice list.
One would think that we can get one of these 7 in Feb.

ZE who? We will be fine. Best part is we don’t need an immediate help on the field with TDP & Emery, and hopefully Curry. We just need depth.
Posted on 12/22/19 at 9:49 am to alumni95
Correct.
We are not pressed for an immediate starter.
That is why to me any of these will work.
My 1 and 2 would be
1. Gibbs - Because I think he fits best.
2. Clayton - Because of SVP and NOLA mainly.

Would be nice if we could get a “Big Board” like this for each position of need for Feb signing. Anyone else willing to draft for the other positions?
ROPO... looking for you. Your prospect layout before Early Signing was well conceived and received.

Yep, that’s also why I have them 1 & 2 on the list. Good call. But the others are also attractive as well.

Pretty sure Clayton already said he isn’t reconsidering

Clyde could leave and/or Curry could transfer.
Clyde’s gone but I’m getting less worried about Curry transferring. From what I’m reading, Curry is picking up the holes in his game (pass pro and catching the ball) and is expected to get some significant action versus OU.

Yeah but the shelves are loaded with presents we will likely regift in a year or two
Posted on 12/22/19 at 9:56 am to wildcat81tiger86
Clayton has said he has no interest, so not sure why we continue to bring his name up.

I’m on the same page with Curry as far as staying now. ‘Missing’ in a big name 5* recruit may be a blessing on multiple levels.
And we are going to need all 3 (TDP, Emery, and Curry) to help make up for Clyde’s overall versatility if he can’t go in either game going forward.

What a terrible take. At this time, all things being equal, these 7 are rated higher than CEH was when he came out. Glad we didn’t ‘regift’ that present.
Merry Christmas & GEAUX TIGERS!!!

way more options that i thought

Because he is not SIGNED anywhere yet. Stranger things have happened.

Drennan, wow! Kid has great acceleration and open field cuts. But most important, he can catch the football. A great replacement for CEH.
Brennan to Drennan!

Yes, and that was already the RB link I included in the OP. But he is still not signed and potentially on the board.

Same reason we keep or kept bringing up Jarrett, Burton ,Evans , Burch etc. Kids say a lot of things and then do differently. It's no exact science
Posted on 12/22/19 at 10:15 am to alumni95
Daniyel Ngata is a perfect fit. Wish we had a shot at him.
Posted on 12/22/19 at 10:19 am to alumni95
Hubbard seems pretty interested judging by what you wrote. Seems like he is quick to bounce outside. That might not work in big boy college. Gibbs makes people miss heading up field.
