You guys can't be serious.

Serious about a guy that beat out Tyrone Swoopes, Cooper Bateman, J.T. Barrett and others at the Dallas Elite 11 event?

No Bama fan wanted Mitch. Any LSU fan with decent QB knowledge didn't want him either.

I'm not saying he's a terrible QB, but both Alabama and LSU can do much better.

Hate to say it, but I actually agree with the Bammer. I live in NC and know that the competition that Mitch played against is not that good. He has great numbers, but I don't think he's really an "elite" QB.

Then who do you want? You don't want a guy that out-threw JT Barrett, Tyrone Swoopes, Bateman and others. You don't want Jeremy Johnson even though he has SEC offers, so that messes up that barometer for you.

After watching Johnson's junior footage, I'm starting to change my thoughts on him.

Bama has made several visits to Bergeron in the last few weeks. LSU starting to wake up.

That's interesting. Sounds like another ploy for us to pay attention to him instead of the others.

i 100% agree..

I've said it before..
-he has mediocre footwork
-plays against sub-par competition
-top receiver is 6'2" 200lbs and going to UNC (making him look better than he is)

why aren't we going after kenny hill or kohl stewart?

texas a&m has 2 top200 qb commits, who both were interested in LSU, and we didnt offer either..

guarantee that we could get 1 of them to flip

Kenny Hill

Kohl Stewart

Hill likely won't stay at QB. Doesn't really have the size to compensate for his decent arm. I see Hill moving to WR. Definitely not a baseball player either Even though they got knocked out, my brother's team shut him down in their playoff series.

Stewart was throwing in the mid 90's last year as a sophomore. Pretty sure A&M took Hill knowing that Stewart won't step on campus. Also, remember A&M took Matt Davis last year as well

Devonte Kincaide can't play quarterback. At 6'0" he's too short. So says Joe Theismann, Joe Montana, Drew Brees, and Chase Daniel.

Still to consider:
Bateman
Kincaide
Ferguson
Sandberg
Austin Allen
Damien Williams
...
Johnson ??? (project)
Staver ??? (project)

Bateman, then Max Staver. Not very high on Johnson. Kincaide is just too small and not dynamic enough. C-USA guy IMO. Anyone who's accurate can look great in drills

Kincaide also has a very strong arm. Their drills aren't just about short pass accuracy.

Also, if you are on scout, go watch Johnson's junior film. I ragged on the guy after seeing his sophomore stuff, but I'm starting to change my opinion on him
