Great point. But you know that won't happen with the influx of ranters. Its not like I haven't seen saban get torched by uga while at lsu and by lsu while at mich st.

If anything Clemson probably does the best job of doing less with more. Taking 5* recruits and making them look like 3*
Seems to me that their 5 star players have played like 5 * players. Their problem is they have 3-4 4/5 star guys sprinkled in with a team full of 2-3 star players. But your statement about making 5 * guys look like 3*'s is off-based. CJ Spiller sure had the career of a 4-5 * players. Same for D'Quan Bowers. Same for Sammy Watkins. One of their 4/5 star LB's started most of the season last year as a true frosh, and the other one had a second knee surgery, so he couldn't play. So, other than Steward, who else has Clemson signed of late as a high 4* or 5* that has been coached down to look like a 3*?

I think his impact is overrated. The most important aspect of recruiting is player evaluation. I'm not impressed with the player evaluations at his former schools as I am with the job that LSU has been doing for the last several years. If he can close on players that the LSU coaches want, but we wouldn't get otherwise, then I will be very happy to have him. But let's wait and see first.

if they had taken a knee, the game would have been over. Instead, Baylor head coach Kevin Steele called for a run.
Steele won't be making those decisions. And if Coach Miles is willing to take knees with 5 minutes to go in the game (Ole Miss 2012 contest), then I seriously doubt he wouldn't do it with 20 seconds left. BTW, NOT criticizing Coach Miles. I had NO PROBLEM with that, especially since that was Houston Nutt's last game against LSU. And no, I don't think HN will be back in the SEC with another team.

The ranturds jumping on Kevin Steele for his coaching resume are the same DBs that were criticizing the Kragthorpe hire. Unlike Coach K, Steele is here as an intern & not a coordinator position.

By all accounts the guy can coach LBs and his son is currently a graduate assistant. So if he can help coach LBs, is another set of eyes for the defensive staff, or has any current rapport with players that Clemson was recruiting, (especially in the Carolinas) then it is beneficial.
