Thank you for dispelling some idiocracy in this thread. Clemson is just gonna reload. They truly have 1 or 2 real big games in a year and not have a let down game. If they win the big matchups or even split them and don't have a let down they are in the playoffs.

They lost to Pitt, who has NO defense, and came within a botched kick of losing to a legit bad NC State team. So I'm not real sure about the whole no let down thing.

He isn't Elite because he don't have 5 stars?

He's every bit as good as Akers

Who was it in the last few years who announced his commitment to "the University of Louisiana state"?

Jamal Adams???? It was someone high profile if I remember right.

Man, TE might really be incredible, but from the video clips I've seen, Akers is on a different planet. I'm really not trying to knock Etienne here, so I hope it doesn't come across that way.

ran for 8,000 yards with little help from an o line over 100tds in louisiana and u watch his film and feel he isn't elite because he doesn't have 5 stars? ig thats what clemson and alabama was thinking too...put him on any "elite" players team and he will be the starting running back wake up...but akers played qb in a spread offense running with wide open lanes lol no doubt i believe he's good but better than TE? how?...sorry thetruthhurts didnt meant to reply this to you

He seems really shifty, fast, etc... but it also seems the level of talent he was up against in most of those highlights was really poor.

Stats mean very little to me. According to high school statistics, Darryl Williams was just as good as Leonard Fournette.

Being from Jennings, this is somewhat of a concern to me as well. Really cheering for him though, I want him at LSU.

Why didn’t we go after Etienne first, instead of Edwards-Helaire? It seems to me that this was assbackwards. Edwards-Helaire should have been the backup option.

Are there some good running backs in next year’s class that we can get from Louisiana? Especially since after this year, Guice will be heading to the pros. It would be nice to get another five-star.

Travis,
Mr. Cormier would much prefer you at LSU. Follow in his footsteps and do great things.

i have a bad feeling that we aren't going to land this kid.... shouldn't have slow played him that much... could always have moved him to WR or LB if we did land Akers in the process of getting him too...

From Jennings, he will be a Tiger!

Great!

Bookmark this shite.

Etienne will have better college stats than Akers.

But only if he comes to LSU. We are his path in a long line of successsful NFL RBs.

Get this kid a jacket.

He said LSU is his dream school.

I've never seen him say that, but I've seen him say that it is not his dream school a few times. Do you have a link to him saying this?

While he admits great admiration for home-state powerhouse LSU, the Tigers are not the program he had in mind as a child.

There was another interview later on where he states he always wanted to play for either Tennessee (has a sister there I believe) or Oregon. All of the talk I've seen says he likes LSU, but it's always clarified with some sort of variation of "it's not my favorite."
