I swear to God we could have scored 100 points if we had to for some reason.
Like if coach os mom was kidnapped or something, and the only way to get her back is to score 100 points, we would have had coco home by dinner.

Most these kids will flip when they can visit schools

I mean he is from Texarkana, OU could be his dream school, LOL..

That’s a stretch.

It’s really not. Plenty of kids have drastic changes in their recruitment after they go on visits to new schools. Couple that with the fact that their are twice as many kids committing early this year tells you there will be way more second guesses than ever

Lol. It wouldn't have taken that kind of drastic motivation for LSU to have scored 100 on ou last season. We were just way better than them at every position. We had at least 2 recievers open on damn near all of our pass plays for burrow to hit. It was that bad. We could have easily put up 100.

Everyone convinced he was even a take right now?
I mean Pelini is basically in charge of the LB unit taking over for Aranda. He obviously wasn’t recruiting this kid at Youngstown St.
Without visits etc up to this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Bo is going to let the process play out a bit to zone in on the LB targets he wants
Davis is a carryover and longtime commit. Zavier is an edge player so more of a Bill Johnson / Orgeron recruit.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Bo takes his time settling in and evaluating the true LBs for this class

Smith is better suited to play the edge than Carter. He is 20 lbs heavier and had 20 sacks last year. They are even moving his position to WDE in 247 for the next update

Fair enough
I don’t know much about this kid but when you see defensive players choosing OU early I find it a little fishy. Not that he couldn’t truly feel OU is his dream school, just seems improbable. His main group of listed schools on 247 was pretty weak for a high level recruit also.
If this kid would’ve chosen Bama or a defensive power program then it’d be more believable that we were all over him and he just wanted to go to Bama

enjoy the perennial first round playoff losses

The top players currently CBd to OU, UGA, and OSU is just mind boggling.
Clearly they are all perennial top 5 teams, sure. But OSU, for instance, currently has the #2, #3, and #4 SDEs CBd, basically all 5 stars. A few Top 10 DTs and LBs, top S, etc.
I know LSU will almost certainly have another top 5 class and our staff has proven that they can find the lower ranked kids who were clearly misevaluated but, still...OU, UGA, and OSU are on track to own this class. OSU has something like 22-23 CBs in the top 250. After a championship year, I think we all expected to see more LSU next to the top 100 recruits.
Before we get into, “rankings aren’t everything,” it’s all we have right now and they are still directionally accurate though it’s been proven, even at LSU, that the top guys don’t alway end up as the top guys. That’s understood.
Is the conventional wisdom that the rankings will change dramatically when updated again, these kids won’t stick with the current expected schools, or another reason why we could think the current rankings won’t be the ending rankings, outside of a few surprises?
