Has anyone mentioned Jarrett Fobbs from Huntington? This is a guy that will be the best senior in Shreveport next season (Rascoe, the junior DE from Evangel, will be the best player).

Measurables don't impress. I do see that he's being recruited by McCarthy, however. What position does he play?

how does enrolling in a community college affect a prospects recruitment? Does it indicate that he has grade problems and can't qualify for a FBS school? (That seems strange since he is bypassing his senior year). Or is it treated more like a JUCO situation? If a recruit were to come from a community college, would there time in community college be counted against them?

As far as I know, their time at the community college does count against their eligibility. I don't know Givens academic standing, but if he were eligible to enroll and play at a 4 year, but chose to go to JuCo, then he could transfer to a 4 year at any time.

However, if he were not eligible, he would have to graduate from the JuCo before he could go to a 4 year.

I think the reason he left high school early was because he would have been too old to play this coming fall. So he will play at EMCC instead. Going a semester early will give him a leg up on being able to transfer to a 4 year sooner.

Thanks. That makes sense. I just didn't think about the way that his age may have played into the situation.

QB Nick Montana has an LSU offer according to Rivals. Yes, Joe Montana's kid.

I've coached Shed Davis and Dilen Guidry. Both great players but not LSU type imho. Guidry could grow into a TE type guy, if he wants to he could be great in that spot. I plan on playing him at TE some this season

I haven't read this whole thread but has anyone said Chris Badger (Safety) from Utah? Maybe not likely but just saying.

Someone said he went to a community college, but his profile has him with offers from schools like Miami. I'll see if I can look into this further.

Thanks for the honest opinion.

I cannot see us taking a safety that runs a 4.8 40 with the current depth we have at that position. I'll keep him in mind, though.

I heard from a friend of mine in Denver that LSU is recruiting a TE from there. Last name Slaven.

Thanks shooter.

I also came across this Gem of a LB today.

Jordan Hicks

Would be nice to add him to the LB corps.
