This kid has some potential. Looking forward to seeing how he contributes.

Does that make him 3 or 300 times better than he was yesterday?

Or maybe number of stars a player has increases his talent exponentially.

This class is looking up!!!

In some rantards eyes, I would have to say yes...Rantards love stars...And while we are on the subject of recruits...The recruitment of CM is strange...Why did Texas just offer and why OU has not offered this kid? Just strange for some reason or another...

Why do you use this as a reason not to offer the kid, then turn around and say we should be offering Michael who's offer list is ver similar?

it would be a non-issue if Michael didn't have that extra little star next to his name.

Some may not realize, that Michael Ford is just .1 points away from having that purty little star next to his name. He's a 6.0 while Michael is a 6.1. Big fricking whoop.

Because sloflo does not belong on any recruiting board. He doesn't understand any of it.

Stars=publicity for the program.. Thus future players being recruited look at who is doing what..

This in part is why the same programs in this decade remain the same names year in and year out at the top 15..

fun for fans, and sets an expectation to a degree, of what is to come if the players stay in school and develop their game

Except for Alabama, they suck!

it's not the offer, it's the timing

i think this kids commits to LSU at any time before signing day. that's all

i don't care if michael is a 4 star or a 5 star (same with ford). he's a playmaker at RB

ford is also a playmaker at RB, but i don't know if he is really a speedster. i think he gets to 215 or so and is our "all around" guy. then who's left as a speed back in 2 years? lache likely as a true freshman and?

if UF has shown anything, it's that you can't have enough speedy guys at RB when you're running a lot out of spread formations. they run FOUR guys out of that slotback position (harvin, james, rainey, and demps)

THAT is why i think we're making a mistake not going after michael more. it's a philosophy thing imho. miles wants big backs to run i-form, and he's recruiting those types. but i don't know if they fit in with crowton's spread/spread-option (esp with shep coming in)

Murphy. You act as if Ford is slow. Listed at 4.5. Then you'll have Seastrunk, possibly. Your "X" factor player you love so much is (saying if LSU lands him) is Debose, IMO.

LSU and Florida's offense are completely different. This is just my opinion, but I'd MUCH rather a couple big bruiser type backs that LSU has had in the past. I don't know why there's such a push from you about these smaller RB's.

well i don't think he's a burner

if he stays at his weight as of now, he'll be fast enough, but i don't think he will

the more crowton gets his guys in there, the more we'll become like UF

we have a ton of big bruiser types at RB and we will continue to. we're getting 1 for sure and possibly 2 this year, and we still have ridley for 3 more years after this.
