Pros: Big; good route runner; tracks ball well; good balance; does not shy away from contact; catches with his hands not his body
Cons: Stiff; average speed; usually goes down at first contact

Thanks Geaux wolverine. After a year in moffets strength and conditioning program he will be a great receiver that won't go down so easy at first contact. I like him

Thanks for posting.
He appears to have a good bit of potential. He is bigger then I previously thought and looks to have good hands. How good is Salmen's coaching? Does he have a lot of potential with better coaching or is he a kid who has been taught very well throughout high school? I'm just starting to try and follow recruiting closely.

Oh trust me I know. I started following it this past season and wow I never thought I'd get so annoyed with these guys decisions.

Pros
-Has good enuf speed
-physical
-big
Cons
-easiest wr to tackle I ever seen commit to lsu
-won't be much of a deep threat in college
The staff probably offered him to have someone different. We have a roster full of medium sized track stars. It would be nice to have a Doucet, Lafell, or Bowe who could block and lay out the DB who tries to tackle him.

Really don't see anything in his film that makes him stand out among the hundreds of other D1 recruits. Definitely not spectacular, but may be solid. Kept waiting for that "gotcha" moment on film, but it never really came.

There is really nothing in that video that shows great speed or breakaway ability. He just looks like a receiver with sure hands and is willing to run through traffic and give/take hits. I've noticed our receivers had problems with hearing footsteps throughout the past three seasons. Maybe the new receivers coach wants somebody who will hold on to the ball on 3rd and short.

His head coach is a former div 1 defensive back, and coaches secondary. Unless he has changed his style, he normally stays away from the offensive drills. Tifwiw.

Great hands, some bad habits that the staff will coach out of him but he's a Nasty Fighter - Natural Tiger. He's a keeper.
Oh - I think they just had another bad snap.

I said the exact same thing about Duval last year. Will be looking forward to see what he does his Senior year.

The original link didn't work because it is to the mobile version of youtube. Chrome accounts for this. Not sure how your phone works but I think if you replace m with www in your url it will be "right" for a pc. Or just delete the m.. Thanks and please keep going wolverine!

So I guess I'll be the a-hole that suggests he move to Safety.....

Who would you rather have Baker or Fakins?

From the original thread, you would think this guy was the worst football player that ever donned a pair of cleats.
Looks like a big, physical guy. Doesn't have elite top end speed, but I really like the way he plucks the ball, and he appears to have really good hops and will be a RZ threat.

Baker, the poster got it right. he will go across the middle and "catch" the ball. not all wr have to be deep threats or have great speed/elusiveness.
Good possession receiver.

physical dude. give me physical over finesse every day.
one problem with our wr core has been it's been more finesse than physical the past couple of years.

Jarvis was blocking fools 20+ yards down the field almost every game last year, but other than him, yeah.

As a whole, LSU's WRs did a much better job of holding blocks this past season, as evidenced by the success in the running game.
As for Baker, he seems to run good routes for a HS player.

I guess baker was "discovered" by wilson since we had no wr coach at the time. I 100% trust in Wilson's ability to evaluate talent.
