Who is Charles Hanagriff and when did he become a talent evaluator ?Cmon guys.

Exactly. I can guarantee you Hanagriff hasn't seen all these kids at camps or watched all the film. The popular criticism for this class for most of this year has been that we have a bunch of "three stars". It's been in the press and on the internet. Charlie is simply picking up on and repeating what he believes is a topic (criticizing the talent in this year's class) that is popular among his listeners and running with it. Its his job to get people to listen to him (I don't) but make no mistake about it, he is far from an expert in evaluating high school talent. He's done his job, this thread is excellent proof.

Linemen are in short supply through out the country this year. Coach O knew it and went after players not stars. We will finish in the top ten if Jimbo don't snatch Marshal and Satan don't snatch Sartain.

Exactly

I would rather be right about Orgeron being a bad hire. Over the long term, it would be good. No use dragging out a bad hire. Cut our loss and move on.

Well, aren't you a miserable sack of shite!

I’d prefer LSU to win but thus far the two pilllars of the O hire, cruiting and coordinators, are off to troubling starts

So saying you're going to get better in the trenches via JC and find a great kicker ..then doing exactly that Is troubling ?

Or is it keeping the best D.C. Out there And finding a top OC? Maybe it's the Upgrading oline coach (while keeping lineman on board)

go back to bed

It's not good when the dream comps of your star recruits are Darrell Williams and DJ Chark?

This class has no stars in it. Not yet anyway.

But, yes, if those two guys have careers like Chark and Williams we will be very fortunate. Are you joking? Or just being miserable for the sake of it?

Well this class isn’t done yet. They won’t ever be top 5 but may get into top ten. Like it or not LSU football recruiting will always be tied to in state recruiting. If the state is down the recruiting will be down for that year. Yes LSU goes out and gets some out of state guys every year but the bulk of the class will always be in state. This year is a down year in the state so you have to take that into consideration. Next year is stacked. If we have the same problems next year then we have a major problem that would need to be addressed immediately.
