Not sure what you were watching but I know the play that was called and it was a run. He lines up wide sometimes and not wide depending on where the ball is placed. NOT a trick play, and how can he be hidden in front of the Catholic bench???

Many of their football players have been all over the world by the time they are seniors. A large percentage of the kids parents were reloacted here from out of state.

I have met a decent amount of guys from Catholic High while I was a high school student in Baton Rouge. Some were on the football team, and some were not, but I think they were a fairly representative sample of the student body. In general, they were a nice group of guys, but this post is pretty misleading.

They may have traveled to a couple of Central American countries on a mission, and some others may have traveled abroad once or twice on vacation, but the average football player at Catholic is not traveling around the world in the summer. I have also never noticed a significantly greater percentage of kids from Catholic High who are originally from another state. If anything, I have noticed quite the opposite.

The main reason why kids at Catholic High go to other D-1 programs is because they don't get offers at LSU (Brandon Harrison, Chris Williams, etc.) Clearly, both of these guys were not accurately evaluated by Rivals or Scout and had the talent to be starters at LSU. However, Catholic High has a good academic program, and many graduates are in good enough academic standing that they can play at D-1 programs like Vandy or Stanford if they don't get an offer from LSU.

That's why so many more kids from CHS go out-of-state than kids from Rayville or Bastrop.

Dutchtown, will not go far at all in the playoffs. The defense is extreemly Suspect.

The play was a trick play, the wide receiver lined up 2 years from the sideline (hidden).

sorry it was not a trick play. my kid plays defense for CHS and the cornerback or safety (forgot which one he told me) just did not see him. receiver lined up as usual. blown assignment, nothing more.
