Two things:
1. Marsh just got an official offer from USC for DT. His conditional offer from USC before was for OG.
2. Marsh has committed to ucla. Mom made the decision.

Then those sites suck at updating their info. Both still have him as solid LSU verbal on their profiles. The Rivals one is linked at the top of this board (under 2010 commits/prospects). And here is the Scout one.

Wonder how badly Kiffin and O are out bad mouthing other programs? specifically LSU in regards to Marsh.

No not all, if you followed my posts the last several years you know I don't roll like that... I am not that kind of person...(maybe I exaggerated a little, but...if you follow Kiffin and O recruiting...they are snakes in the grass)
What I encourage you to do is be aware of what you have leading your program...Don't blindly defend their actions like UT fans did...
I think Kiffin will probably succeed there because it's rather hard not to.
I just don't respect O or Kiffin much at all... I know people (HS coaches) who have met O on a few occasions... They don't think too highly of his character... great recruiter...and then that's about it...because they can tell O isn't really interested in helping these men develop off the field...It's all about catching the big fish...that is what O is about
Kiffin to me doesn't deserve what he has been given...Top jobs without the resume to justify it...
He gives the entire nation reasons to not respect him..

Okay, this is a bit odd. This Kid was all LSU at the AA game. From the eye-black to the wrist tape to the yelling "LSU" after his blocked kick.
I get the distance thing... but come on, this kid was geeked to be a Tiger and a few weeks later he is gone???? WTF? Something behind the scenes is going on.

Not all LSU fans are on the anti USC bandwagon. The problem is you fellas have no clue what an idiot you just hired. I have never had an issue with $C, but the hiring of Kiffin is beyond me.

Yeah, I don't get this either. Did he and his family just now realize LSU is not in California? I can see being torn and it maybe coming down to the last minute, but to completely rule LSU out so quickly just seems kind of bizarre. Oh well, I never get too excited about any commitment, especially the ones so far out of state. I save my erections for after the LOIs come in on signing day.

why would Marsh go to a program about to go on probation...Carroll was the only thing holding back the NCAA..Kiffin is more like a lightning rod for sanctions

I certainly understand you point-of-view, and respect it as such.
But we have had O and Kiffin on staff before. They were top-notch recruiters and coaches, and players sung their praises.
I am basing this on what players have said directly to USC reporters and not second-hand stories from SEC contacts.
It's interesting, but USC generally gets more concrete and factual info from our USC recruting sources about SEC recruits than what you see on a lot of message boards geared towards the SEC. One source said that it's easier to deal with "us" because the rumor mill does swirl around remotely as much.
For instance, we have 3 Florida commits visiting us in the next two weeks (one being Demar Dorsey).
As for Kiffin's success, no one knew how a lot of young coaches were going to pan out when given high-profile jobs. shite Joe Paterno wasn't a hot commodity back in 1890 when he was named HC at Penn State. I think Kiffin will be fine.
Regardless, I do truly enjoy following this board and SEC recruiting in general. It's the best entertainment and bang for your buck!
