Cam's dad is a former NFL player, I'm gonna give that family the benefit of the doubt that they can see right through Bama's used car salesman approach.

I felt like I was 10 again talking to the old guy that owned the van with the painted windows.

thats such an awkward message. Gave me the willies

It really makes me feel bad for these kids that they have to deal with hundreds of people like this for 2-3 years when they are 16-18 years old.

There are probably 500 kids that are told they will be first round pick in each recruiting cycle

What "concerns" me about Robinson and Bama is I think their depth chart maybe more inviting, just like RB for us, depending on who starts at LT for us this year.

Don't you wish you never climbed into that van?

"...he also is the best person".
This is a very interesting, but not very suyrprising comment.
Why does the coach think it's necessary to make this comment?
Because he knows that Saban's reputation is that he is an excellent coach, but a ruthless, insensitive human being.
This is what makes Les (and to some extent Richt) a perfect foil.

y'all act like our coaches don't say the same things to recruits

That awkward? Im guessing not many coaches are that awkward and will praise allah....eh Saban....as much as that guy did.

It's a shame, cause I think Cristobal is a good coach. He has to lower himself in making himself look like he's bowing down to Saban. It's pretty pitiful looking from where I sit.

Agree, this seems like something a GA would be doing. Maybe it is a GA using Mario's account

Anyone else find it strange that in 3 years Robinson will be just finishing his Soph year of college? So unless Cristobol knows about changes to the pro eligibility rules, I think it's safe to say simple math isn't a requirement for an OL coach at Bama.

To me, the "best person" comment is more embarrassing (and revealing) than the first draft pick comment.

I would guess he meant in 3 years after starting college, not literally from this moment in time Greg Brady.

Yeah, this just re-validates if for me. I heard part of a conversation b/w Alabama guy and a recruit a few years ago when it was televised (don't remember where), anyway, it was the same weird, awkward, selling.... but like selling to a 3 year old... not sophisticated, just very transparent.

There was the FL recruiter lying to Gilmore and other stuff I could say too - horrible.

I am sure that all/ most recruiters are not great in making an argument veery intelligently, but I do hope that Les and Frank are better than this (I think they are FWIW)
