In hindsight, we should have given Shea's older brother a made up job like Ole Miss did.
Bad luck for us that we took Frank's "commitment" as being an actual commitment.

It's over and it's going to be okay. A lot of 4 and 5 star quarterback recruits turn out to be busts every year...

Obviously there is something still telling Cam we have a chance.
Maybe it's the fact that Florida's quarterback was worse than ours this year? That Florida's running game is pathetic and that whoever starts at QB for Florida next year will be set up for failure?
Perhaps it's that at least Cam has proven that he can coordinate a dominant offense when he has a quarterback to execute it.
There is valid cause for concern for a QB prospect with regard to development at LSU, but Florida is not a school that (post Spurrier) has shown anything to indicate they'll do a better job of developing a QB than LSU.

sad sad sad All this tells me is the staff has no back up plan.
That could be true, the staff seemed to be so sure about Franks, then he turns around & burns us. If they rolled the dice with Franks, then oh well...
But, I don't want them to reach with someone in this class that does not offer an upgrade and/or no chance to ever see the field...

How would y'all feel if they gave Cameron a "Franks or you're gone" marching order? Would it be a legit condition?

This right here! We have either terrible luck or we just sign QB's that either just don't have it or we can't develop. But it does make you wonder. It is not like we signed a bunch of 1* QB's. The majority were high 4 star QB's. Jefferson, Rivers, Rettig, Jennings, Harris. Hell was McMillian not a high 3?
Let is go with Flippie, please

This is why being a college coach is such a challenge. Recruiting and coaching with limited time and immature minds is very difficult. Hedge your bets and recruit other quarterbacks and you might scare the kid away, go all in and possibly get burned. Just a tough tough job.
I've resigned myself to watching bad qb play at LSU now. Maybe Defense, Special teams, and the running game will be enough to get a bunch of wins.

Agreed. Recruiting has a lose/lose side of it built in. But, in that the rules are designed to protect the kids, it is what it is. Ultimately it gives the athlete more flexibility to explore options. When they go to the real world, they will learn a very powerful word, "CONTRACT". LOL!!
