The infatuation with Bama will fade over time.
Hopefully the bad mouthing of Les Miles or any coach at LSU that runs a successful program will too....

my factors
Stud relationship >>>> than cristobal
It's all about who will make me a better player and prepare me for NFL and Bama is proven and Stud is an average at best talent evaluator and developer
Recruiting - stud + frank >/= bama's
Hama and other schools coaches are working N La very hard and have been seen around more than the North La area recruiters for LSU (Stud/Ensminger - they bring little to the table in recruiting)
playing time equal
competing for championships - push...But I'll give bama the slight edge due to recent success
it's all about the relationship and I don't think it's possible for lsu to have a better one with Cam. If he truly chooses bama bc his friend is going there as the primary factor... there is nothing you can say or do other than LSU should have offered Sims if they really wanted Crob

Okay but they get the top OT in the nation as a nice consolation prize. Why can we not do that?
Because our Coach has character.. he actually doesn't play games with these players lives.
Nick just uses them as pawns... Look I respect the work Nick does, but he is what he is...a freaking machine...all he preaches is Process and Program, but deep down, it's all about keeping the talent in the program as long as possible so he can bask in glory

Again back to my original point. Who cares if he comes to camp? He is a solid of enough WR and he helps pull in the best OT in LA. Why does a guy from New Jersey get an offer and he doesn't?
You have no idea if Blacknall had a legit offer. What we do know is he came to Baton Rouge intending to commit, didn't, and then committed elsewhere shortly thereafter. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

No no..an camp offer as in an offer to come to camp. LSU does it with OOS players all the time
He had the offer beforehand but that's besides the point.
The point I'm trying to make is we were willing to accept his commitment along with the 3 LA WRs. There is a 4th spot for an uncommitted WR they had in their plans at one point. I see no reason as to why Sims does not have an offer

Again, besides the point. We had plans to take 4 more WRs so technically there is still a WR spot available in this class

Sims never camped at LSU, is that right? obviously LSU had in-state guys rated ahead of him, but I can only guess why he never went to a single camp.

LSU's pitch is, "You're from Louisiana. Come here. Period". Bama's pitch is, "We want you to be part of our family. We win championships and put OL in the NFL. Period". The caring/family part is complete bullshite. The rings and NFL draft is impossible to argue.
If you think that's all LSU comes with, you are sorely mistaken. Can't get them all, and Bama does bring plenty to the table to make sure LSU can't.

LSU invited Sims numerous times to their camps and he snubbed them there was no way he was getting an offer

I hope this isn't Landon Collins again.
Seems to be a Saban strategy for Louisiana talent.
First Landon's girlfriend to get him. Now recruit a teammate to lure CRob.
It's just dirty and nasty. Like a pedophile kidnapping one of your kids with lies.
No actually no matter what anyone wants to say it is just smart business. It is all within the boundaries of NCAA because they can't prove intent. And make no mistake at this point in history college football is big business. We could do the same thing but choose not to. We just have to decide, do we want to compete like that? If we don't then we have to be willing to understand that we will loose top recruits to universities that are willing to play the game that way. Does not make it right, just understand that is unfortunately the way the game is being played. Is it shady? Yes. Does it feel slimy? Yes. But nothing really can be done about it because proving intent is virtually impossible unless the coach himself admits it.

And if Sims flat out told LSU he wasn't coming then I'm fine with that, but that just doesn't seem the case. We will never know that, so that will be left up to debate, but he snubbed LSU because he wanted an offer before he came to camp
