The Monroe city school system is pathetic and its only getting worse. Its not the parents or players fault for wanting their child to attend a better school.

Collins is from Ouachita, a parish school not city.

The QB looked like Vick last year on the news. Aaron Dietrich was gushing over him and how he was the next Diarse for the Tigers.

It might actually be Diarse's little bro. I know he plays and is very good. Then again the Diarse family is pretty loyal to Neville.

Oh...but WM is the only school kids transfer to in the state...

These kids are leaving a middle school not their Jr. year of high school.

This is no longer a thread about the recruitment of Robinson.

Hasn't been for a while.

JJ27, You and YMCA need to take the "when WM put HS Football on the map" to some WM fan boy board. No one else cares. You guys sound like two Bama fans arguing over whether Bama became great after winning a Rose Bowl in the 30's or when The Bear got there.

Would like to see something about Cameron's situation instead of you guys giving the WM coaching history lesson.

I think Shows is meeting with the the staff at Cheddar's to talk about this situation today.

Shows and other WM coaches are in Hoover, AL for the Select 7 on 7. For that reason, I wouldn't expect any big news on the situation for several days.

If you want to get technical we are still discussing the recruitment of Robinson to WM as his name has been in most of my posts. The reason the other players are brought up is b/c WM fans don't consider Robinson a recruit so we bring up other cases as a way to say this isn't something new for WM. Also, there is nothing new to report on Robinson so until it is this is the type of shite you will see. If you don't want to see it don't come back and read until you see where the OP edits the thread title telling you there is a C. Robinson update.

Of course they recruit. MJ Leonard, David Cole, Chess Hill, Bobby Tinsley all lived in Calhoun when I was in school and played at WM after they left Calhoun (Tinsley via a Christian school in between). I know Hill, Cole and Tinsley never moved during HS, not sure about Leonard. Not All-Americans but sure would have helped us in 1996. We still did ok.

OUACHITA TRANSFER MIA AT WEST MONROE DRILLS
Ouachita transfer Cameron Robinson did not take the West Monroe practice field Monday. Coaches told The News-Star the 6-foot-6, 315-pound offensive lineman would sit out until they were certain of his eligibility.

News Star

In the left hand column of an article on West Monroe, Neville and Ouchita Christian starting practice to defend state titles.

quote:

Fans gathered around fields early Monday morning, parking their cars on the side of the road at two area high schools.

That can mean only one thing — high school football is officially here.

All area LHSAA schools conducted their first official football practice Monday as coaches started evaluating their teams in anticipation for their season openers, most of which occur Aug. 31.

In about three and a half weeks, three certain Ouachita Parish teams will begin their titles defenses also. West Monroe (Class 5A), Neville (Class 4A) and Ouachita Christian (Class 1A) started that quest Monday, though, as they filled holes and prepared for what they hope is another 15-game season.

quote:

Neville cornerback Laurence "Hootie" Jones broke up a John Diarse pass on Monday during a red zone drill, and the offense pleaded with coaches for a pass interference call while the defense cheered Jones' effort.

Jones and Diarse joked with each other on their way to the next drill, and both said they like the offense-defense rivalry.

Hope this is the biggest rivalry these two guys ever have.
