Who let peej into this thread?

I almost signed it Peej, but that guy wouldn't know who he is.

Is this some new concept? Do you believe that more doors for Cam would be open in Louisiana post football career if he chooses Lsu or if he chooses Bama. I think you miss the point of some people's comments, but that isn't surprising.
Life isn't fair dickwad. There are many instances where choices that you make in life have larger ramifications than others. Some are less significant.
I want CR at LSU just as much as anybody, but that's his choice. It's a tough decision for a high school kid to make. It is certainly bigger than whether or not he is wearing purple and gold or crimson on Saturdays. His choice will undoubtedly have bigger consequences than that. THAT'S LIFE!!

I wasn't referring to myself. I was referring to your buddy Salmon. He is moron and most LSU fans on this board know what this douchebag is all about

You ever consider things like an under the table offer, O-line coach, chance to start early, facilities, which coach he likes, a change of scenery, a piece of arse, a love for his state, etc. could ever come into play?
I don't think he is too worried about life after football right now and I certainly don't think he owes anything to LSU.
ETA: I'll be very pissed/upset if he leaves, but not at him directly...

I hear ya. But, in the end, does it really matter? Do you think recruits actually read all this drivel (and yes I'm including your posts, and mine, and all the rest, in the category of "drivel.") If I thought what I posted on here would actually have an effect on recruiting, then I might daily post things such as the fact Ala's coach ditched and ran on the Miami Dolphins, after two mediocre seasons. I might implore our Louisiana high school coaches to tell their young players not to trust someone who preaches "integrity," "loyalty," blah blah blah, but showed none to the Dolphins. I might point out how that team overrecruits and "processes" players. I might mention, daily, the incident where said coach stepped over a player who was laying on the ground in convulsions.
But since it doesn't matter, I don't take the time to post such matters.

I'm aware it is not a new concept, I was just commenting that this mentality needs to change.

No doubt, and if Cam believes that Bama is the better place for him not only for college, but for opportunities beyond college, LSU should feel disappointment, but not resentment towards him. That is what I have a problem with.
Solid post though.
See? We can get along :)

I don't get the obsession over losing out on one kid. I mean he's a 5 star and all but look at everyone else we are getting in this class. 6-7 five stars including probably 3 from out of state? That's a great haul. If we had a class of all 2-3 star players and only one five star in state (like an Illinois losing out on a Clifton Garrett) then I could understand. But we get so many great players...especially in these next two classes.

I never once anywhere said that he owed LSU anything. LSU can offer him everything that you stated. It's been documented that he grew up an LSU fan, so it's hard to believe that he would go anywhere other LSU with the program that they have. I could see if we were Kentucky, but LSU is every bit as elite program as Bama and has the facilities to match.
With the class that LSU is bringing in they could very well be on a multiple championship run

I'll bet you didn't even attend LSU, did you? Or maybe you flunked out. Same for Salmon.

I bet I did, I bet I graduated in engineering with >3.0 GPA, I bet I have loved LSU from birth even when I was surrounded by gumps growing up, I bet I'm a bigger fan than you are, I bet I married an LSU girl, I bet my kids will be LSU fans, I bet both of my brothers (who go to Bama because they offered them a lot more scholarship money than LSU and someone has to pay the bills) are still cheering for LSU over Bama because of me, I bet you're a dense dolt...

Like I've stated, I agree that LSU can offer him everything that Bama can, but it isn't hard to understand why he would choose Bama over LSU. Their track record with putting lineman in the NFL, and winning 3 out of 4 MNCs can be pretty convincing to an 18 year old. You and me might be able to see past that, but Saban is a hell of a salesman. And the hype surrounding Bama right now can be hard for kids to ignore.

I bet everything I just said is 100% true.
What fact, that I just typed in the previous post, do you find to be erroneous?
