Akers told the Florida State staff tonight he will be committing to them on the 27th.His dad is telling other schools what they want to hear the last month.
It's over guys.Don't get your hopes up and this is coming from someone that has been very pro Cam to LSU the last month.

My guess is not LSU.
My logic which I hope you can destroy is this. Sounded like he was FSU bound and since he now has a date set that means he has decided. Figure more time would be a better indication of a change of hope.

This would be huge. Do we really have a shot? He would most certainly play his freshman year, he'd be in a run first system that's designed to get him yards, and he would be our starter his sophomore year. I mean, it doesn't get much better than that for a recruit.

FSU staff has somehow convinced him he will be the starter even though their situation isn't THAT much better. I think it's just more obvious Guice is the main man here but we embrace a multiple back system as much as anyone. Plus, it's better to put less tread on the tires going into the pros. He would very likely be the starter year 2.

Well shite. Thanks for the info. Any info on how he arrived at that decision and if LSU actually led at any point over the last few weeks? Would having an OC have made the difference?
