Does 247 not have anyone to cover basketball recruiting for LSU? I don't have a script or anything so I just check the site out for their football recruiting every now and then to catch up since they are pretty good about it.

They only have Morgan as a commit.

Who are the transfers going to be? If Odoh comes too that puts LSU at 12 schollies. Only one scholarship comes open for next year with Ludwig. Possibly a second if JOB goes pro. Having only maximum three scholarships for 2013 would be tough as strong as the 2013 Louisiana class is.

Johnny's going to get us a full roster. 1 in the hand is worth two in the bush. And im sure people will leave if that's what needs to happen.

We can't go without a full roster like we did under TJ.

I guess this means that LSU is no longer recruiting Devonta Pollard especially if Johnny O “Bryant will not be playing the 5. I wonder what other rabbits Johnny Jones has will pull out of his hat. We definitely need a 5 in the worst way. I can’t see LSU signing another 3/4. Looks like this team will be extremely completive in the SEC next season. First, we steal a major recruiter from Georgetown and next, we get one of the most talented JC 4’s in the country. In spite of his disadvantage in coming in late during the late signing period, his moves have been extremely pragmatic, strategic and logical. I for one did not see that coming. All I can say is get ready for some “STRING MUSIC,” because it appears that LSU appears to have made a renaissance within a very short span. If he can do this within a relatively short period, just think what he will do when given an entire year to recruit.

Godfrey is ranked as the No.12 JUCO player in the country, by JUCOjunction.com. Shavon Coleman is No.8.

So, two top 12 junior college players. Not bad.

I would like to see a center like Odoh signed, but Godfrey is plenty big enough to play center in the SEC. Most people don't have 7-footers.

If Pollard really wanted to sign we would figure out a way to sign him. I have no doubt about that. This kind looks like a talent. Not sure why the Iowa St. people are concerned about it, figured they would have come to terms with him being kicked off their team by this point.

Johnny Jones is quickly turning me into a believer. I haven't been this tuned into LSU Basketball recruiting in quite some time... If he could round out this class with Odoh I'll really like our team next year.

Southern Miss

Got kicked off Iowa State for smoking weed, which scared off some potential suitors.

No 12 ranked juco prospect.

If you search "Iowa State Basketball 2011" on YouTube you can pick up a bunch of game highlights. Looks like Godfrey is very active, pretty fluid and has a decent offensive game in the post. He and O'Bryant down low should be pretty effective. Obviously, I hope we sign Odoh but we've got a pretty good team now with just the 4 signings.

I can look past the pot smoking (as I suspect a large % of college athletes partake).

He seems like a great grab for the Tigers. I'm still holding out hope that we can land Odoh.

This is turning out to be a pretty badass class.

Yeah, that was my point. I don't care about this guy smoking weed at Iowa St.

Which one would yall prefer, Odoh or Okafor? Just saw a nice write up on TB about Okafor and he seems like the better player.

Odoh gives us more certainty and more immediate help. Okafor is a bit of a work in progress.
