Where do LSU’s top prospects out of state go to play? IMG, North Shore, St. Francis…? Or do they sit our this year? How does this affect their “star” ranking?

It’s delayed with the playoffs happening in April. That means players will not have a season before NSD, unless the NCAA does something to extend it.

The highly rated players who already have offers in hand will just sit out and likely early enroll in college in January.

If they have grade issues, I suspect they will just sit out the season while getting their grades up.

Of course this only applies to top 250 level recruits. I suspect most others will play the spring season and see if they can get better offers.

This has happened in Virginia too. One of the top prospects really took some initiative and graduated this summer and enrolled at UNC. I suppose some of them may be able to transfer Out of state. But it really sucks for the non 4-5 star guys who were hoping for a strong senior season,
Can qualifying athletes still go to prep school for a year and not lose eligibility?

I would imagine some athletes would be able to transfer out of state and play immediately. It really is unfortunate for the board line kids who were on the rise.

It’s gonna be fun to see if they can or not… hopefully none of our team chooses to sit out.

WA state moved HS football back to a March Start date. will be weird with HS basketball happening before HS football.

Kids will definitely have to choose between sports now, the next few years will be awkward. If the recruiting services demote the prospects, if the prospects never touched the field, then people really need to evaluate If they (service) is legit or not.
