Still way early and as the Arik Gilbert case shows, CBs don't mean squat......

OU can pretty much promise him a shot at starting in September whereas LSU should be set for the next 2 years. That’s just the nature of dealing with 5 star QBs these days.

If we want Caleb we are going to have to prove at the beginning of next season that we are still running the offense that Brady laid the blueprint for. I believe in our coaching staff and I think we can close this deal.

I'm not so sure about that. Rattler is gonna be a tough out for Williams to come in as a freshman and take that job.

Rattler is gonna be a dark horse heisman candidate, he's not gonna have much of a chance to play early at ou

Caleb Williams is a 2021 recruit. He will still be in HS in September!

He will be committed somewhere far before September.

He is 2021. Will only sit a year here if Brennan pans out. Same at ou with rattler.

Eff me. All this time I thought this kid was a late 2020 guy.

My bad. Carry on. If LSU proves they’re going to continue to run the wide open offense I’d have to think that bodes pretty well for us.

Not at all. He faces spending a year or two behind Spencer Rattler, who is a very high level prospect.

If Maryland could get Jarrett, then dont be surprised when they get Williams. Its a long ways to go before the next ESD.

Personally, I could care less if we get him because Max Johnson is here for the next 3-4 seasons.

Enough said! Just spread the damn ball and beat Bama next year. That will do it.

A qb competition between Johnson and nuss would be wild

WOW! So in your special world the other scholarship QBs on the team don’t even exist? There are many others like you too, who totally disregard Parrish and Finley in the QB competition. And then there are those, like you, who prefer 4 star “Nuss”, the 11th rated Pro QB and 171 ranked player over 5 star Williams, the number 1 rated DT QB and 15th ranked player. Riddle me that.

Like someone on here stated “Nuss” is like the QBs LSU has previously recruited. In fact, I’m not sure he is as good as Brennan, Lee or Brandon Harris. Whereas Williams would be the highest rated QB at LSU since Ryan Perrilou. AND, the history of success of the number 1 rated 5 star DT QB over the last 10 years is astounding! To the point that Coach O should be all in in getting Williams to commit to LSU.

Based on the last 10 year history of the number 1 rated 5 star DT QB, it’s almost a guarantee of a Heisman level career and playoff participation. Yet there are LSU “fans” who want to pass on Williams for the great “Nuss”. For those of you doubters, the number 1 ranked 5 star DT QBs over the last 10 years include: Jeff Driskel, Jameis Winston, Deshaun Watson, Kyler Murray, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Fields, and Bo Nix.

The kid has gone out of his way to keep people guessing about his preferred schools. He’s been adamant he has no list and no favorite. It’s kind of interesting given all the assumptions people make

Having said that and knowing what history has taught me, i hope Nuss is part of our class.

Nuss is too skinny for SEC unless he can run a 4.4

If he wants to go to a school that is getting trampled when they play real programs, that's on him.
We'll get good players either way.
