No, no he’s not. He’s all USC

He's going to USC. Everything else is stirred up suspense.
Most likely. However, with the NIL I suppose anything is possible. One phone call from the right booster could change anything for any player/school.

I have a weird feeling LSU is going to land him

Funniest of 2022 - course it’s just January…
Did VolTiger confirm?

There’s just no way man. Kelly and Howard have a great relationship. I don’t think that these kids are going in with this super aggressive analysis of the transfer portal and things like that. Plus, I feel comfortable saying that he’ll take Kelly’s word over Riley’s every day of the week.
Honestly, and I say this with so much excitement about him being here, if Howard is this easily dissuaded from staying with us, he should’ve never signed. What you’re describing here is borderline paranoia.

Hopefully he chooses USCw. Don’t need any drama when trying to rebuild.

You don't sacrifice TWO relationships, as you preach AND enforce culture, by going after Williams.
And I'll say it again: the guys we've wanted from the portal get invites/offers very quickly. None has been forthcoming for Williams. You can infer, with confidence, that CBK is not pursuing him and this is all, 100%, coming from Williams and/or Riley.

Howard is planning to redshirt and seems to know he will need time to develop. A redshirt this year and a year of working into the system behind Caleb in 2023 seems perfect for him.
Meanwhile, Caleb plays as QB2 behind Brennan this year but gets into every game for a couple of plays or series. Then he takes over in 2023 before going to the NFL.
Nuss would transfer, so we start the year with Brennan, Caleb, and Howard. Almost perfect eligibility / experience wise.

There’s no chance of this.
ETA: you can downvote me, bud, but Caleb isn’t going anywhere to be second string. I’ll bet you 1k on it right now.

CW is not being pursued by LSU

For example:When these recruits line up and have LSU, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma , LSU is always the id sitting on the table Caleb is no doubt USC bound.

you can't get much more stupid than this reply
If Caleb Williams commits to LSU (which he absolutely will NOT), Brennan is done, Williams is the de facto starter for the next 2 years and puts into jeopardy that we hang on to the ultra talented Howard. That's how it would play out.

If you think Brennan would start over Williams you must have a serious problem in that brain of yours
Posted on 1/21/22 at 8:43 pm to lesthemadhatter
Do y'all not realize this shite is a business and not personal....if Williams were to decide he was coming to LSU that it was already established he would be the starter no matter what Brennan, Nussmier or Howard does...this shite is about results not feelings...this dude daddy said we going to the place where Caleb can be 1st pick and NFL ready..CBK gets $10 million a year...no time for what if's

He may, but read the post that I replied to that says he would gladly sit behind Brennan for one year. It’s comical.
