Yes with the way the game is going all the best teams are going back to ground and pound and you need special rbs and a dominant online to do that.
LSU has 8 RBs on roster, EIGHT. Emery, Williams, and Cain are gone, but that still leaves Diggs, Jackson, Goodwin, Holly, and Bradford in 2024. It makes sense that it's Durham or bust. You have a loaded group in Louisiana in 2025, and we are looking to take at least 2 of them. Adding RBs just to add them makes no sense if you already have depth.

Now say we don't get Durham, lose 1-2 to the portal, and we only have 3-4 left. At that point you go in the portal for depth. Jackson is an elite player and will more than likely be the star in 2024, in my opinion. Holly/Diggs looks like they will be a capable #2. After that, you just need a guy as a change of pace.

For people losing their minds. Teams like Ohio St, Penn St, and Michigan utilizes 1-2 backs 80% of the time and Ohio St has 3rd and 4th string backs that have played because of injury. Just because UGA runs 55 RBs, doesn't mean everybody has to.

The running game has been been “functional at best” for several seasons, with our QB being the biggest rushing threat last year…which is never great. Just because there are guys in the pipeline doesn’t mean that you accept two more seasons of meh.

This is because the offensive line has been horrendous. It's gonna be great this year and for the next few years to come. We have talented backs on the roster, and RB is a position you can find in the portal. Chill out.

ETA: If you think the run game last year was "functional at best" then whatever you do DO NOT look at our success rate ranking.

When I see Tre Bradford's name, I don't know if I feel older or younger
