Maybe Vol is maybe he isn’t

It says Welcome to Athens, not Welcome to Atlanta

Yes, I read it too quickly.

No you said "What if i told you he was on the support staff", inferring you knew he was.

Burch was never better than 30-40% shot guys, lot to overcome on that.

If I’m not mistaken he also stated that the staff asked him not to go to South Carolina and Clemson. They never mention UGA.

Same thing over here in Georgia. Not really up for debate if these kids (or families) are getting money. You are so naive if you think otherwise

They all get paid and the best ones get a lot of money. There is not one former D-1 COLLEGE athlete on this board who will deny this without lying. Deals are being made as we speak and Ed O and all the other major programs are in the thick of it.

Let me get this straight, there is a code of ethics among criminals? OK. This bag man and booster thing is outdated BS.
How about these kids are just enjoying the fun, which includes being treated like royalty with girls all around you. I’d do that too if I were back in college.

I mean our own HC wrote a book titled "Meat Market"!!! Folks who don't think these athletes are not getting paid are naive or just don't want to see the reality of the situation.

Bruce Feldman isn’t our HC.

quote:I would never underestimate UGA's ability to flip a recruit at the last minute. They've done it often. At the same time, OV's are hard to get and are well earned privileges. It's understandable that lots of kids don't want to waste them.
Means nothing
Further, it's pretty rude for a kid to go on an OV and not represent at all. Doesn't necessarily mean they're swayed. Sometimes they're just being polite.
Bottom line is that we have no idea. There could be serious fire or it could all be smoke. We're going to have to just trust the staff and see how it plays out.

Well, I definitely can't say it's a"good thing" that Burch is visiting UGA and Kirby, that's absurd. He's absolutely a threat to get any recruit as one of the best recruiters in the game.
Plus, as someone said with Sopsher last year, "look at what he does". Ok, well we know Burch drove to Athens to watch USC play @ UGA, which tells you he definitely has interest. Now, he's given them his last visit right before signing day. Not saying it's a done deal, but definitely possible for him to land there.
Now that said, I wouldn't put too much stock in refusing to shut it down because Coach O asked him to. This kid is no dummy - he KNOWS he's a 5* recruit and absolutely holds all of the cards in this situation. I don't look at him refusing to shut it down as "we're out of it" as much as I look at it as "I know who I am and the options that I have, and am gonna take all of my visits and what are you gonna do about it?"
Which honestly, he isn't wrong.
