Yeah Roadshi* and you'd better prepare to buy a purple and gold jersey with the name BROWN on it. YA HEARD ME!

well they knew more than you guys did when it came to Janzen Jackson and Ed Orgeron...sure they could be wrong but until they are I'm going to believe them
It's not hard for a Voltard to say everyone that UT goes after they are going to get. When they get a couple right, you guys think they are "insiders". According to my co-worker, the guy Apex is talking about said that Marlon Brown was an absolute lock to UT. Go back and read that thread yourself and watch how their story (and level of confidence) changes with each post.
Of the major schools in contention (UT, LSU, Oregon, Miami), who has Mr. Brown talked the LEAST about? If he were excited enough to commit, wouldn't he be saying SOMETHING that leads you to believe they are in contention.
He is NOT going to UT. He is NOT going to LSU. This child is going to either Oregon or Miami.

Volnation is giddy over there..
They have major smoke coming from insiders, they claim..
Apparently, posters that have a solid reputation are all hearing the same thing type of deal.
All I can say is remember Trent Richardson on signing day?
Remember Debose, Sentimore, McKnight, et al ad nauseum. All these guys at some point were LSU locks per "insiders". The Rant was giddy about these guys as well.
quote:They were calling Jackson to UT because the LSU poster (tigerlawyer) on the Rivals Main Board called him to UT. That was their source.
After the JJ saga, they have to be taken somewhat seriously, even though they are Facebook stalkers

Well either the Mountain Gumps are enjoying made up rumors between themselves or it has some legs to it..

Their insiders do have some credibility, especially with the Nu'Keese and Janzen info. But, they were actually wrong about Coach O, and then Coach O changed his mind at the last minute and technically "made them right". Do you remember them going into meltdown mode when Ogre was coming to LSU?
One thing is for certain, the truth of BB's destination will come out the day before on March 15th. The Tennessee and Miami insiders, though credible, are famous for spilling the beans prematurely. They will know "something" which means so will we.

Listen, here's what you got.
Miami-In the lead because his brother plays there. Simple as that. Blood is thicker than water, so it just come down to that.
Oregon-PLEASE! No real tradition, great facilities, but little or no championships, very little talent compared to most of the other schools he's looking at. Has virtually no ties there whatsoever.
Tennessee-Used car salesman Kiffin has already been in trouble with SEC officials, has no credibility as a college head coach, has a WACKO assistant in Ogeron (see thread about the "special teams ranting for potential recruits" thread. Has not won anything significant in years and this is the first year under Kiffin's regime with an all new coaching staff. Who is their qb this season? Who will be the go to receiver? How does he KNOW the offense will be productive? Too many questions and IF's at Tennepuke.
KSU-Uh, that is waaaaaayyyyyy too easy!
LSU-Great facilities. A football program that is surging and one of the top 5 programs in the nation for the past 8 years. 2 national championships, SEC championships and haven't lost a bowl games since Saban's last year. HUGE recruiting class and an bowl MVP winner in (now) sophomore J.Jefferson. Having the #1 rated qb and #1 rated wr on board certainly doesn't hurt. Will have a MONSTER FB in D.Allen who could be the best FB to play at LSU in quite some time. Another great young back in Ford, who can spell Brown without us losing any production hence not having to give the ball to Brown 35 times a game, of which he said he did not want to do. Two great college offensive minds in Miles and Crowton. Father is from Bogulusa, La as well as other family members. I mean, yeah I'm biased, but in reality, if you look at it seriously, it comes down to two schools. LSU and Miami. If he wants to play with his brother, then we're out. If he wants to win and possibly win a couple of NC's and rack up HUGE numbers, LSU will be his choice. The others schools are non entities in my book. Fwiw.

Past championships don't help a recruit much if new ones don't occur while they play there.
Pre-season polls are projecting the Ducks to be a top team. Right around or higher than LSU, depending on the poll. So, they must have some decent talent. Last year, they had two 1000 yard rushers and were #3 in the nation rushing over-all. Year before, they sent Jonathan Stewart as a junior to the NFL in the 1st round. Scored 10 TD's for a play-off team as a rookie. Might be appealing to a running back.
With the exception of Miami, Brown has better ties to Oregon than the other programs. His friend Chris Harper plays there. Plus, he has always said glowing things about Chip Kelly, calling him a friend beyond football.
But, I agree with some of the other points you made...

I dont know if this is Germans or not but, have any of you heard how the visit went in regards to the present team? I don't want to link bad words with any players so I'll keep this player anonymous.
Please note that I have absolutely no reason to LIE or make up a story about players and/or recruits.
I bumped into one of my buddies from the football team between classes and shot the breeze with him for a little while earlier this week. I mentioned a few things regarding football and asked about "that kid bryce brown or whatever" and his visit. He laughed and said they guy was a "punk". He went on to say that after the visit around the actual campus, he was escorted by *anonymous player* afterwards and was being a total arse to the player escorting him around afterwards. Aside from being extremely cocky and a total arse, the escorter and bryce ended up at a local bar where bryce brown got into a fight.
Like I said before, I have no reason to lie to any of you. Say what you will all you "one-uppers" and junior highers, but for those who appreciate good solid info on players and recruits, you are much welcome.

Every year, about 3 or 4 PAC-10 teams are ranked nationally and by the end of the year 1 is still in the polls. Happens all the time. Oregon does have a good appeal for a running back, but in reality until you go undefeated you'll never see BCSNCG

+1
The more I hear about him though the more I hope he doesn't come here.

It has been confirmed that Bryce didn't get into a fight nor his brother or friend or whatever... The bar owner watched Bryce sit in the corner all evening by himself appearing bored.. He doesn't drink..
You hear conflicting reports all the time..
The comments from his HS school coach do bother me...that must have some legs to it...

From Volnation:
Dont know if its been posted or not yet, but a guy form TOS made his way onto the vols forum and told everyone that the consensus in Miami is that TN is the team to beat for browns signiture. The vol fans asked the miami fans what they though of the poster who left the comment, and everyone said he was one of their most reliable posters. The other fans believe it too.
Quote:
That's what we all heard today. Him and Oku picture themselves as being the next great RB tandem. Congrats. Both are Butler boys so it makes sense. Another rumor today was that Arthur was in Randy's office and it doesn't sound good for us. I'm just hoping he's not transferring.
SUPPOSEDLY
The Brown's have been looking at homes in the Knoxville vicinity, fwiw.
