What does ESPN have to gain by posting the same rankings as the other services?

I get it, cater to your audience, give other fan bases a reason to sub to you instead of the others. It’s marketing, not recruiting. Just frustrating when they get included with the real services in the composite.

Agreed. Seems to mess up the composite rankings quite a bit sometimes.

ESPN's rankings are super frustrating because of the bump players get who choose to play in the UA game.

They do at least have Emery over Sanders though.

Rival's update today shows much of this same thing in regards to giving bumps to those who show up and play in these HS AA games.

I noticed going through the rankings a little while ago that nearly every player that participated in either the UA or AAB got bumped up at least a little bit.

Espn emphasizes d line, edge rushers, qbs, and offensive tackles. They are weighted more in their rankings. They have a different emphasis. Linemen haven’t been as valued in rivals and 247.

I’m not sure their rankings are poor. Just have a weighted value for linemen vs skill players.

It is true but the opposite can also occur as with Stingley. I thought hed fall because he didnt play in an all star game yet remained #1 on rivals. Its a rarity.

The biggest and strangest to me is the CB committed ti Clemson ranked as a 5*. Hes highly regarded but is never mentioned as one if the top CBs yet is a 5*. Not saying he doesnt deserve it just hes the quietest 5* ever.

Some of those people literally deserve to be fired from their job if they dropped Stingley to a 4*... That is a whole new level of stupid and bias right there.
