Well, good luck to him (except vs. LSU).

I never felt comfortable with the way his recruitment was handled. And frankly, if I wasn't so biased on this topic and hoped for a different outcome, I'd applaud the fact that he stuck with his commitment.

Well I agree, but it sounds like he needed to go, I heard he was creating dissension on the team over RP being Booted..

He had so much potential...grades and injuries held him back

Sentimore would be a nice pick up, and I hope we get him, but let’s not forget that these are the guys that LSU really pursued, wanted, and got:

Chris Davenport
Joshua Downs
Benny Logan
Michael Brockers
Akiem Hicks

I was born and raised a LIFE LONG Alabama fan..........if I was in the position to be recruited by Alabama but didn't get an offer, but another big time program offered, dang right I would take it, even if it was Auburn because I loved the game, wanted to play, found coaches who believed in me from the start, and felt I could have a chance to compete and move on to the next level.

Steven you keep failing to see the BIG picture here.

Say you were a lifelong Bama fan. But your grades weren't totally in order. Bama told you they won't offer you until you got your grades in order. Auburn offers you quickly, so you decide to jump on that only as a backup plan, because clearly you are a BAMA fan.

You get your grades in order late in the process and your dream school, BAMA, offers you as they promised. You have not signed anything and a "verbal commit" really means nothing until you sign on the dotted line.

Are you telling me you wouldn't switch to your dream school, BAMA, of which you were a lifelong fan...and go to a rival school instead?

Cut the crap...

At age 18. With proper strength and conditioning he could be a dominate DT at just shy of 300 lbs.

Did you ever consider that he may not want to play DT?

He looks like our replacement for Wallace Gilberry at DE. Gilberry had over 27 tackles for loss two years ago.

I really really dont think this is true.
For frick sake he passed out in my apartment until I had to wake him up and drop him off at his hotel. He wants to be here, he was bashing saban and bama any time it got brought up.

Note for future reference Gump - when they list a time on rivals without an "r" beside it that means it's just something they told the recruiting site. At a scout combine he ran a 4.82 40.

Good luck to Sentimore at Bama. I can't blame a kid for sticking with his commitment. It seems to me there are a couple of guys that are so called commitments to LSU that could use a lesson in what that word means. The bottom line is that the LSU coaches screwed up the recruitment of Sentimore and waited too late to get in on him. The last few years, they have let some really good players leave the state. While that is bound to happen, it's hard to excuse it knowing how much time and effort they put into recruiting pipe dreams like McFarland. This is my opinion on the matter, and if you disagree, we can respectfully disagree without the name calling, please.

He's a 3-4 DE for Saban which means his potential doesn't get utilized. 3-4's are all about the LBs and NT.

And Gilberry didn't get drafted--not even the 7th round. How did LSU's DT do that year in the NFL Draft?

BTW, this kid is the size of Gilberry right now (at age 24). At age 18, Gilberry weighed 235 to give you perspective.
