He definitely has the build to be a force at MLB, but theres a big difference going from RB to LB. RB doesn't require much mentally besides just knowing where the hole should be, blocking assignment, and running ability. LB needs to be able to quickly analyse formations and make proper adjustments after the snap. He also seems to keep very high in his stance. LB needs to stay low to take on blocks. If he could make those adjustments, he could be awesome there.

I could see Worle RS which would give him 2 years after Allen

Looks like he likes to hit. Also looks like he would make a good linebacker as well.

I think linebacker nightmare is more like it.

Not necessarily. We don't know what type of blocking scheme they have. They might be counting numbers and reading the alignment of the D. It might be the difference between a kickout or a log, going up to the next level, or replacing a pulling guard. Especially with schools going to zone schemes the backs have to know D-line and LB alignment techniques and have rules that apply. Now, I agree that being the MLB has more of a mental aspect, but don't count out the mental aspect of being a RB.

Dude also appears to have a "soft set of hands" coming out of the backfield.

he could learn a stiff arm but i doubt he has to carry it much in college.

I didn't mean to insult the RB position if thats how it sounded. But there is a definite difference in mental skill set from assigned offensive RB role to quickly and accurately reading a lot of info, then quickly responding which a LB has to do. I'm just saying the switch from RB to LB and vice versa is much more difficult than given credit for. Unless he has any defensive background, he'll very likely stay on offense.

with ridley on the team, and crowton being a spread guy trying to incorporate the spread option, it just seems to be a little much to have 2 pure FBs on the roster
What if one gets injured? You gotta have depth. We were going to take two FBs last class, if Singleton would've switched from Tulsa.

Aweseome video, plus the bonus of having a kid whose coach is named "Bubba" and passes muster with the staff is OK by me. Welcome aboard.

This guy has tremendous talent and looks to be a great multi-dimensional player. He'll definitely fit in with our offensive scheme. I can't wait to see him play in Tiger Stadium.
