With the great luck we have had with 4 & 5 star guys, we should be very happy with a (presently) 3-star. Seems like we have wondered how other past 3-stars, who later lit up the NCAA, got passed up because they were doubted. WELCOME ABOARD, MR. BRENNAN!!!

Here's another question: Why didn't he have offers from his in-state SEC schools?

LSU beat out a number of programs, including Cal, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, for Brennan’s commitment.

That was a backhanded comment, but to think he wouldn't have more offers later in the year is being naive. If this kid had another star next to his name, there wouldn't be much question here.

Cal only has a QB this year that's going top 5. Alum that's going to be one of the greatest to play the game. Other schools that have offered in that lost so far all had solid QBs over the years.

Both in state schools already have their QB

MSU has a commitment from Keytoan Thompson out of New Orleans for this class

Ole Miss signed Shea Patterson last class

This is LSU needed to sign two QBs in this class and really wants Narcisse. You take a guy that has upside projection in his game, but doesn't have the lofty recruiting status to go with it, and you tell Narcisse "You da man."

fair enough. better way to put it then how i did

Very impressed with his game. He has d-1 arm, good footwork, accuracy is very good. Many of his offers are schools known to find good qbs. With Lsu goin to more 3-4 WR sets I believe this is a solid pick up.

And a back to back state champion QB at the 5A/6A level in Texas no less. Kids like McMillan are needed though with today's QB game being what it is. Studs will come in and blow up, or transfer out quickly, so it's necessary to have a backup guy to fill the gaps in studs. Bama did it with Blake Sims, despite the fact I hate bringing them into this conversation. Brennan seems to be that for this class, but his ranking is higher than a gap filler really. Love the pickup and potentially landing 2 QBs in a class.

The film doesn't lie about his talent...he's got plenty of it...great vision...great in pocket instincts...we won't know about the intangibles 'till he gets on campus...Go Tigers!

But he doesn't. And we wonder why we've had a Quarterback problem for years.

To be quite honest when I saw this guy's film I wanted him a little more than Narcise (doesn't mean I don't want both in this class). Guy seems more suited to fit the offense Les and Cam like to run (or at least the one we like to run when they trust their QB I.e. Mettenberger). Of course they've also said we're going to start moving toward the spread, especially now with Craig here so I don't know.

Moral of the story is I'm glad we've got a guy committed who can be the go to guy.
