You make a great point. My hope is that Brennan will turn out to be a great QB for LSU next year, but I think O would be doing a disservice to his team if he didn't at least look in the transfer portal to see what quality players are out there at any position.

For goodness sake ....Leave this alone! This is getting out of hand. WE HAVE A QB for next year...His name is Myles Brennan...and he will do just fine!!!

I love when folks do this. Not that you are wrong. But seriously. As if they are God or know the winning lottery numbers. Talking in absolutes like they are the almight! Love it!!!

Oklahoma and LSU have mastered the craft of attracting and placing transfer QBs Now LSU has the option of going with a QB who is three years in the system or going after the best transfer possible if the development of the traditional former HS recruit/non transfer is not at the level it needs to be by the spring. The more options the better.

I dont think taking in a transfer helps us, but not because I feel Brennan is the answer. He has no pocket presence and no ability to extend plays. Teams are going to blitz us non-stop and he wont be able to beat it.
IMO, Max Johnson is going to be a great one for us. He has all the intangibles and will eventually push Brennan to the bench. With our success this season some highly ranked qb recruits will start looking our way as well.
Bringing in a grad transfer makes no sense simply because they will not be able to pick up the offense quick enough. Start the season by giving the ball to Brennan and if he proves me wrong that's awesome, but if not hand it to Johnson by the end of next season so that he is comfortable being the starter in 2021.

Your takes are troll level bad on multiple boards.

I hope we sign this guy

If you're convinced Brennan is the QB next year, then don't read a post about a possible replacement. I was just trying to pass on some information because most people come to a recruiting board to see if there are any new developments. Did you get upset when Burrow signed with us because many also thought Brennan was going to step in at that time? Can't have it both ways!

He just hates Brennan and Vol, and can get all sanctimonious whenever someone talks negatively about a recruit and their decision making process.

Does anyone know if we are seriously looking at him to possibly come in? I know Brennan is next in line to take over at QB, but O has made it clear he's always looking to improve the team. I'm not saying he's better than Brennan but he does have real game experience.
If we keep going to the transfer portal then we will lose our QB recruiting cred. I know that three of the four QB's in the CFP were transfers but look at OU. They got nothing in the tank now that Hurts is gone. I would suspect that King winds up there too.
LSU had nothing in the tank when Burrow came. That is not the case now. With four scholarship QB's on the roster now and a top level recruit lining up for 2021 I would leave the transfer portal alone right now.

And how in the hell would you know this??
Have you been looking through knot-holes in the fence??
Some people on his board are absolutely clueless.

Just go away. You are the worst. Just how the frick would you know this? Making a statement like this just shows how dumb you really are, all while trying to sound like you know something. You dont. Your takes are stupid - and that's being nice.

If we do that Brennan is gone... either way I trust the coaches. They know what they need to compete for titles.
Like Dabo he knew Kelly Bryant couldn't help'em beat Bama so he switched to Treyvor Lawrence.

Spencer Rattler was the #1 QB on 247, Rivals, ESPN & Elite 11 MVP

Well you're stupid. As far as news and info goes BR is as good as most out there. Their draft scouts as well as high school scouts are pretty decent too.
They have legit reporters and have had them for like 10 years or so.

The reality is the transfer portal has changed college football whether we like it or not. For instance, with Alabama signing this 5-star QB from California, it's almost certain one or two QBs are going to be transferring. Regardless of the situation, HCs have to keep their eye on the transfer portal because so many great players leave a program for one reason or another. It's basically a third day of signing recruits. The key is getting the right players to join your program. We were extremely lucky getting Burrow and maybe Coach O can find some more great talent, not necessarily at the QB position!

So you assume Rattler is good enough for OU under the same circumstances but Brennan is not good enough for LSU.
You Hippocrate.
