How much will they have to spend on retaining that bought-and-paid-for class?

Kelly can rebuild a LSU defensive roster ready to rumble next year just by bringing home all those stud sophomores aTm rented from Louisiana.

They’re looking at 150 million in buyouts and new staff before you even talk recruiting players

I think it will be much easier to sell recruits on LSU being able to get their defensive issues corrected and a better D staff than aggie convincing recruits that they are going to get it right this time.

NIL not withstanding.

This is true, but why do I get the feeling that either LSU won't benefit at all, or it won't effect A&M recruiting in the slightest?

Seems like Texas and Bama will benefit the most.

Because you’re probably being a realist about it

Irony about Jimbo firing is that higher ups are pissed that they have such good players and can't win. Well, you could make a strong case that Jimbo is the reason they have those great players. Can't argue with the fact that he is an incredibly great recruiter. So now he's gone and they probably won't have as good of players...And they'll probably be worse, IMO.

That means that if he was fired after this season, A&M would only owe Fisher $19.2 million immediately. They would then pay him $7.2 million annually for the next eight seasons.
