If Olivia Dunne is not in attendance in the skimpiest two piece I question our recruiting leadership

Buckwheat needs to be the recruiting coordinator for sure!

Clemson had a really good run with a coach that is coordinator dependent. Brian Kelly is not that kind of coach and if we got on a run like Clemson, I’ll be happy.

He seemed pretty big on OU hopefully we can steer the whole crew here

LSU is recruiting three(?) kids from Duncanville in this class? I don't remember a school signing three highly recruited high school teammates in one class. I'm sure it's happened before, but I would imagine in a case like that, they sign with the "home" team.
I suspect it's just as likely that they go to three separate schools, as them all signing with the same university. If we get one, I'll be happy; two and we can say this staff has done a remarkable job.

Why not? It’s relevant info…
It most certainly is
But it’s from a paid website that those subscribers pay for and those writers live off.
So by taking that info and posting it to a free message board is flat out wrong.
And this thread should be deleted.

We did:
WR Abram Booty, Shreveport, La. (Evangel)
WR Robert Davis, Shreveport, La. (Evangel)
LB Cisco Perkins, Shreveport, La. (Evangel)
Too add, we have 4 kids on the roster from the same high school:
St. Louis, Mo. De Smet Jesuit HS

Why is the Bayou Splash supposed to turn everyone to LSU and such a big deal?
Posted on 7/20/23 at 2:14 pm to Phillytiger9
I can’t think of a single cycle where at some point someone didn’t say it had the potential to be a massive class.

Couple reasons really.
1) this week is sandwiched right between dead periods and tons of schools are trying to get kids on campus. If you can get them to yours, it shows legitimate interest from the prospects. They’re catching a ton of heat to go all over the country and they picked your school to come to. That speaks volumes.
2) lots of these kids are planning to commit before their senior years, meaning you get the last face to face crack at them before they commit.
3) it’s not a camp setting where there are tons of kids. It’s a party at Bk’s house where recruits and families get to spend all of the time talking in depth with the staff.
4) there will be a ton of the committed guys and you know they’ll be essentially quasi-recruiters as well.
5) basically to sum it up, the uncommitted guys wouldn’t be there if the interest wasn’t sincere and this gives the staff a shot to close the deal with these kids before it goes right back into a dead period and commitment season so to speak. It’s a ready made environment to seal the deal on a kid. And LSU has a ridiculous amount of uncommitted talent that’ll be there.

Bad news doesn’t sell subscriptions. They’ll always sell us on the ambiguous hype early on

Anyone think it will be 1 or 2 recruits from 2024 Class that show up to Bayou Splash they wasn't expecting?
Posted on 7/20/23 at 2:46 pm to LSU1215
It wouldn’t shock me.
Massive weekend for LSU coming up.
They have a legit shot at landing five 5 star players this cycle. Massive massive opportunity here.

Good post. Thanks. Was honestly going to ask that question myself too.

Which ones besides McKinley and Simmons?

Simmons and McKinley are already 5 stars. Mack is right there. McBryde has a great shot to get there with a strong season as does Evans. Callaway has an outside shot as well.

Thanks Jiminy. I assumed one of them was Mack but didn't know who the other two were.
