Shea: The Scoop on this weekends LSU Official Visitors
-We start with Weston Davis the highest ranked prospect visiting. One of the best in the country. 2 sport athlete.
-On3 has him as the #3 OT in the country. A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama and LSU are in it. Seems like A&M, Bama and LSU from Billy.
-Hope Beaumont location helps. Geographically it fits. When the staff saw him staff loved him immediately and think he is one of the best in the country.
-Gave LSU the last official visit which if you're LSU is all that you can ask for.
-Bama currently running third is Bama so Billy sees it as LSU & A&M. BRad Davis was on him super early. Helps him being a basketball player.
-No problem to Red Shirt. Hasn't been playing football that long. If LSU can land him he sets up the OT well.
-With Marcus Mascoll going to Florida Billy thinks that Brad is running a bit hot. Motivation for Brad Davis to finish this month strong.
-Moving forward we're talking about Blake Ivy. From League City and this is another Texas A&M and LSU battle.
-Last year Brad Davis lost the battles of TJ Shanahan and Chase Bisontis to A&M. He gets another crack at them this year.
-Brad playing his hand with the last visit of the summer. Blake Ivy has ties to LA with family.
-On3 has him the #3 IOL. Billy thinks it will be A&M because the location is pro A&M and they do well there.
-Have to knock out the official visit weekend. Shea mentioning you have the #3 IOL and #3 OT.
-So a back up plan for Blake Ivy is Ziron Brown who is playing on the gulf coast in Mississippi.
-Ziron has been evaluated and if Ivy doesn't work out Ziron would get offered and commit on the spot.
-Brad Davis will come away from 4-5 OL this year. These are the battles that you want to be in. Going into the state of Texas where it's one of the most competitive markets.
-Shea needs LSU to come away with 1/2 of Blake Ivy and Ory Williams.
-Casey Poe on campus right now as well.
-Billy thinks the best chance to land outside of Weston Davis is Ethan Calloway out of North Carolina.
-Doesn't talk much and do interviews. Been on campus before and here for another visit.
-6'7 300 pounder. Has taken visits to all of the big boys. Visited in September for a game. He came back in early April.
-He has no ties to LSU so coming on his own is big. Brad Davis got in on this one early. Shea is under the impression that other schools haven't blown him away.
-Florida had a good visit with him as well. Shea leaning it being a and LSU/Florida battle.
-He is making his college decision on June 30th right away his Florida visit.
-3rd visit to LSU in 9 months so Tigers have to feel like they're in it. Certainly top two. This weekend decides if they're the team to beat.
-With his size he can play Guard or Tackle. His size would allow him to play early.
-Jelani Watkisn one of the fastest guys in the country. Won the 100m and 200m in Texas. #31 WR. 5'9 150 but he flies.
-Man of mystery in this cycle for LSU. Billy says LSU is the team to beat. Shock if he doesn't end up at LSU.
-His IG is all LSU. Dude loves track. Two springs in a row winning the 200m.
-Has LA ties. LSU only official visit this month. This could end very soon.
-Close to being a top 100 prospect out of Florida. Thick kid and Billy sees him finishing top 100 easily.
-He's taken visits to all of the big boys.
-Tigers are going to try to get him on board this weekend. Pair him with Ondre Williams that's a nice set.
-LSU and FSU battle. He was going to shut it down before senior year but recruitment has blown up. Steeples has been all over him from the beginning. That's what got LSU this visit before the dead period.
-Sounds like they want to get him locked up this weekend. Robert Steeples talks to his entire family. Grandma and everything turning over every stone.
-Billy compares recruitment of Cai Bates to Toviano. Thinks it ends up playing out like that.
Recap of the unofficials from this week
-Special visit for the family. It was Bryce's moms birthday with the whole staff at the top of Tiger Stadium for the photo shop.
-Imagine he will visit for a game this year. He will see a lot of games this year. Oregon, Bama, Georgia and others.
-His Dad said that LSU has cemented itself as one of the top teams. One of the best QB prospects in years. True 5*+.
-He was here for Father's Day Weekend and now his Mom's birthday. Joe Sloan has worked this very hard. 6 months or more off.
-Visit couldn't have gone any better than it did. Expect to hear his name mentioned super heavily with LSU.
My #1 want of this class
-LSU turning up the heat on him finally. He can play Safety for Cooks. Finally takes his first unofficial visit.
-Some schools are dangling WR to him like A&M. Feeling like LSU could be running 3rd. Shea says he probably stays in state.
-Physically he is already there. Just visited Texas now LSU. Jancek has really turned the heat up on him and at all the EDGE positions.
-He has just now kick started his process. Won't shut his recruitment down any time soon. More time to build a relationship.
-Will visit Tennessee, Bama and others. Top 100 guys on On3.
-Casey Poe stopped in for a visit on his way to Alabama this weekend. Decision to be made July 12th.
-Tigers will still get an official in the fall. Playing catch up but a nice surprise to see him on campus. Brad Davis still swinging no matter what.
-Expected to land at Bama but you have/want to be in these battles. Every visit counts.
-Expect Keylan Moses to pop sooner rather than later. He has been asked to lead the 2025 Louisiana class and star the takeover.
-His "Uncle" Frank Wilson has tasked him with this and Matt House spends a ton of time with him. Don't worry about the past. Mom is heading recruitment.

Excellent job as always and very much appreciative.
I've been very critical of our class this cycle but one thing that I have been greatly impressed with is their ability to get top shelf kids on campus. Maybe the best we've seen from a staff from that standpoint. I just hope Kelly can close like Les. Dude had flaws but the living room wasn't one of them.

Great stuff. Hoping to have some major LSU wins the next 4-5 days on the diamond and gridiron.

Truly thankful for the time you put into this. Some outstanding athletes I would love to see pick the Tigers. One of my concern is the number of athletes and CB’s in this class.
