I'll try to keep everything on Ben in this thread. He seems to keep pretty up to date on his twitter @BenSimmons25 so we can see what he's up to. Can't wait for him to be a Tiger.

I think we got to him early enough. If you see the facilities at LSU, they are really nice. I'm hoping we can get a good crowd in for the game Saturday so he isn't disappointed in the fan support. Most thought he was Duke bound before choosing LSU.
If you look at his instagram pictures he is almost always in LSU clothes though. Seems very solid, but still need him all in.

His early commitment, and his staying committed, are key in LSU's hopes of getting other big-time prospect to join him in the 2015 class. There are a few highly ranked Louisiana kids for that year, as well as the #1 ranked player in the country just up the road in Jackson, MS. I'm not navie enough to think that LSU gets something like 4 McD's AA's, but a class of 2-3 top 60 players would be huge

Simmons is key at this point. This 2015 class could be a seriously program changing one. We have a few 3-4yr guys coming in next year so getting some 1ndone kids in 2015 could mean a special year.

yea he's the type of guy that will recruit for the class. some good local talent as well piggy backing on the last 2 classes. looks good.

It's amazing how hard Johnny Jones & the staff work in recruiting. He's really made connections, and developed relationships with prospects.
