Final piece? Jarrell Martin is high on #LSU basketball coaches' wish list for 2013 recruiting class LINK

I checked ESPN yesterday and they hadn't updated the list, so this is great news. Martin pushes them at least into the Top 10. However, no ranking will be accurate when most don't factor in the juco signees.

Troof. We have gotten a few really solid players from the juco ranks in the past 10-12 years:

Jabari Smith
Jaime Lloreda
Lamont Roland

Your link wouldn't open for me, so:

Final Piece?

Before he left for TCU, Johnson began the recruiting process with the jewel of a strong crop of Louisiana players, but there is undoubtedly a much stronger relationship now between Martin and his hometown school.

The hits just keep coming for Big Bird Rogers.

FYI...Harrison twins to announce on ESPNU today at 4pm. Maryland & Kentucky are the choices.

[link=(//https://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/64772/harrisons-choices-reveal-new-grassroots-dynamic)]LINK[/link]

Andrew Harrison is a 6'5" point guard. I have never read anything that doubts whether he is indeed a point guard. By comparision, Quarterman (6'5")gets talked about as a guy that can play either the pg/sg/wing spots. Wondering now if Q is a pg or a guy who just handles the ball alot.

no shocker but maryland wouldn't have been that big a surprise considering turgeon and his staff's connections to texas plus the fact they have shaquille cleare already on their team.

Keynan Pittman 6'10 225 lbs
Power forward
Scooba, Mississippi
East Mississippi C.C.

Redshirted his freshman year at James Madison and is now at East Mississippi C.C, looks like LSU and Mississppi St with a few other schools has some interest in him.

All I could find were some incomplete scouting profiles and this old article about Johns:

As many of you know, the Scout site is down and has been down for a few days. I heard about this yesterday, but couldn't post it there due to technical difficulties.

Johns is a decent prospect and has only been playing basketball for about 4 years. He is close to 7-feet and maybe more. Has a high upside and is an extremely hard-worker and very coachable. Definitely has a bright future if he sticks with it. Probably not any immediate help and could redshirt for the spring semester.

The key piece of information in this commitment is that Jamie Ibanez is the guardian/advisor for both Johns and Tony Trocha.

Coincidence? We will see. But Johnny Jones and Robert Kirby are working all the angles.

Also, David Patrick just returned from a weeklong recruiting trip to Australia.
