5, he didn't win player of the year BC he's a product of the system. STM has ran that system for decades.

Touchet is definitely a D1 player. He handles the ball well enough to play the point if needed so his height isn't an issue. I think most people understand he's a legit player.

Also, 6'2" isn't short for a SG in college.

C'mon man. We both know good guards can make a big man look exponentially better
of course

at victor's size, he should have problems with nobody on the low block. he should not need that much guard help. get him the ball on the block and give him the choice to go to the basket and score, get fouled, or kick out to open man if double-teamed

6'2 shooting guard

Why are you so hung up on a 6'1/6'2 height for a SG? Do you even watch college basketball? There's a whole ton of 2-guards around that height. College does not equal NBA.

6'1/6'2 is far from short in college for a 2-guard.

I'm not advocating anything for Touchet directly with this, but I'll take a dead eye 6'1/6'2 SG over a 6'4/6'5 guy who shoots like 30% from 3 in college any day of the week.

Absolutely the point I'm making. He is legit and anyone who knows the game knows this. 5 is just racist to the point that he thinks the system made Touchet. But the other guys are good on their own. LOL at him.
Touchet wasn't asked to play the 1 because they have that position filled. He has tremendous handle.

And, as stated, if a 6'3" 2 guard from St Aug would have his stats and measurables with a state title and player of the year, he would be a can't miss prospect....and no one would say the "system" made him!

He is a track standout as well.....his athleticism is way overlooked by many on this board, but those who matter know.

Good luck to the young man, someone is getting a winner.

Hey man it's all good. I understand the infatuation with him. The kid is a good player but he will never get that LSU offer.

We are merely listing out 6'1/6'2 (or shorter) SGs in college (or in Jimmer's case recently in college). There's been literally a ton.

Even if he doesn't get an LSU offer that doesn't mean he's not a good player. I do think there are better prospects than him, but I wouldn't be upset if he ended up at LSU

I couldn't care less whether he gets offered or not. I'm replying to your absurd statement about 6'1 SGs at the collegiate level

Most of the time he doesn't need that much guard help, but if you've seen St. Aug play at all this year their gaurd play was piss poor and they had a very difficult time breaking the press and running any type of offense that fed the ball to their big men. St Aug has one of the best front court in the state. There's no reason why the offensive focus shouldn't have been feeding the ball to their bigs each and every time down t the court.

There were many times when he would go 8-10 minute stretches during a game where he wouldn't even touch the ball. When you have someone of his caliber, the offense should be run through him. So, that tells you the coaching was piss poor as well. Coach Mitchell Johnson wanted the job and he got it, but he surely didn't perform well this year.

Because if you were honest for one second, you would admit that if Touchet was a black player with the exact same measurables and numbers and was a leader, 4.0 student, outstanding track athlete, a state champ with the exact same surrounding players..you would be yelling how he is a can't miss prospect and a top priority for the Tigers.

What was Victor's shooting percentage this year? That's what I'm most curious about. More telling than pure points per game. If he only shot it 10 times a game and hit 6 of them and got another 6-7 at the FT line that's really good.

I've never seen a white kid this size jump 40". That can't be accurate

On another note, this is a type of kid teams like Butler & VCU or FGCC beat you with. I'm not saying LSU should put him on the top of the wish list, but I believe he prob could play in our league.

Considering our last 2 SGs have been atrocious. Stringer & Bo Spencer.
