Given that a big part of his job is to hire assistant coaches I absolutely would be shocked if he hadn’t heard of someone who has been an assistant in his conference for the last 7 years.

Well, at the very least we have the best relationship with Lewis thanks to Denbrock and that’s a huge factor for some kids. The staff is going to have to work to get him, but that relationship plus a very clear path to early playing time with an NIL cherry on top will get it done in my opinion.
