No we didnt. We didnt have the parents involved like Randle does. He strung it along but never any controversy.

We didn't deal with exactly the same kinda stuff... his family was NO WHERE to be found, and of course - he was tight lipped. What we did deal with A LOT - and I dare say 10x more than what you guys have dealt with to this point is the "Julio to ____" rumors that Billy Bob starts based on his co-worker's nephew's wife's sister's mom's co-worker who works at Foley High School.

Remember, we have an in-state sec rival. It was worse, as far as rumors go.

And we've got an out of state rival with an LSU connection who is trying to recruit Louisiana kids. Just leave our state alone since it wasn't good enough for you the first go round.

Y'all didn't have to deal with all that much until today. JJ never really led us along.

For us, the unoffical visit that he took the weekend before signing day sealed the deal for most Bama fans. Once signing day came around, bama fans weren't worried. (At least I wasn't)

I will say that JJ never had day like this, with his family making noise. Other than that I think they have been about the same. Will be fun in the morning.

Nah, JJ never really said much, so there was a lot of speculation, but he was spending a LOT of time in tuscaloosa and had been a life-long Bama fan. Nobody knew for SURE, but the writing was on the wall for everyone except for the paranoid schizophrenic. There were a lot of rumors started by fans of other teams, like someone mentioned, but it was all clearly wild speculation. JJ was Bama bound from the beginning.

The biggest concern before signing day last year for JJ was the rumors that he was forced to leave his Florida visit because he was recruiting for Oklahoma. Of course when he unofficially visited us the weekend before signing day everyone knew he was going to sign with Alabama.

What about all the other unofficial visits he took?
I know that the night before NSD last year, I was really nervous. Part of me knew he would be coming to Alabama, but there was that little voice in my head that told me not to get too sure. It wouldn't surprise me to see LSU land Randle. Even after all the stuff that has come out today. Just don't ignore that little voice in the back of your head. Either way, LSU will have an amazing recruiting class. So will Bama. Whether either of us gets RR or not.
