What's up with the change?

Oh and as for Reed, most knew he would head to AU after his mother died and he said he wanted a fresh start. We were hopeful we could turn him though. We were wrong, but the point is we never gave up !

ALSO both Dyer and Seastrunk said in the summer of 08 that LSU lead for them. Then later that year Lattimore said the same.

See where this is going?

It's USCe and then everyone else.

People are wasting too much time worrying about that guy.

That's my point. If a recruits says a school is in the lead, fans of that school will quote the recruit's words printed by that schools sites. I remember this guy that use to post about Seastrunk, I think his name was Born or something like that. Back then LSU fans use to deflect Auburn fans who claimed that they led for Seastrunk (especially after Big Cat Weekend) that Seastrunk said that he and Reed are like brothers. LSU assumed that Reed-Seastrunk were a package deal and a kid from Thibodaux is suppose to go to LSU. If a kid says a school is his leader, that school is his leader until he says otherwise. Let's just remember, we are talking about kids. They change their minds like they change their underwear. If you watch this video LINK Hill is all LSU. Now, LSU isn't even in his top 3 so it isn't unthinkable that a kid who was firmly committed to LSU to waver or change his mind. As quoted before, maybe the "money was too much." I don't think Collins is wavering but if he was why is it hard to believe?

That is a tricky situation.

Hill wants to go to LSU REAL bad, his Mom is forcing him elsewhere.

as for the "No one thought LSU led on Reed". Here's a look back at Reed very early on.

LINK

And yes, Lache started the Lache Seastrunk U but LSU began to repeat it to Auburn to show that he was a LSU lock.

If LSU can't lock up a kid from fricking Thibodaux, then we're in trouble.

These kids should be to LSU like the Texas kids that commit to UT on junior day.

Reed and Lache are a combo from what I have heard, and LSU is in good shape with both.

I fully expect us to end up with both.

Exactly. LSU should be able to lock up a kid from the heart of Tiger country in Thibodaux like Texas should be able to lock up a kid from the heart of Longhorn country in Temple.

Yea, yea, I know he is originally from LA. So was Fluker, Myles, etc.

I know and rightfully LSU fans began to say they were the leader because Seastrunk indicated that LSU led early on in his recruitment. What I'm saying is Auburn fans do the same thing after a player says that Auburn is the leader. But seems to me that a player tells an Auburn writer that Auburn is their leader and Auburn fans come on here and say they lead, people act like "how dare this obnoxious Auburn fan claim that they are the leader" even though Auburn fan are just repeating what a recruit says. Collins hasn't gave any indication that Auburn is in the running to my knowledge. Auburn fans are just going off Hill's words that Collins is interested in Auburn. I just don't understand why LSU fans are offended that Collins and Auburn are mentioned in the same sentence.

If you look back a my few posts, you will see that I never claimed to be in the know about anybody recruitment. I use to just visit TD just to see what other fans are saying about a player that Auburn is interested in and try to decipher what little truth there is. But you search previous thread during Reed and Seastrunk recruitment, you will find that most LSU fans thought they were getting both players and had every reason to believe they were getting them according to what those players were saying at the time. My point is Auburn fans are doing the exact same thing, believing what a recruit tells the Auburn writers.

Are you frickin' serious? What do you expect? Your on a LSU recruiting board talking about an LSU commit being interested in AU.

Yeah, I am on a LSU recruiting board talking about the subject of the thread, which is "Auburn Hot Board" not LSU recruiting. I'm simply trying give an explanation of why Auburn fans claim they lead for a recruit (not specifically Collins because I never heard anyone say we lead for Collins). I'm trying to be reasonable and have a civil discussion. I understand that it hard to do that these days being that it appears that Auburn is receiving preferential treatment which pisses of other fanbase. I have not said anything negative about LSU. All I said was Auburn fans claiming that have a shot at a player isn't doing something that other fanbase don't do.

now this doesn't make sense to me. Born is saying that Lache spurned Auburn because Auburn was trying to do something similar to SMU right? Why didn't Lache make his good buddy, who he says is "like a brother" aware of this so that Reed didn't go into a SMU type situation? If they were close, you would think he would be looking out for Reed.

Reed was more than aware of it according to Born and yet tried to push lache. Lache wasn't having it though
