LOL... nice try.

The stipend has only existed the past couple of seasons, and Bama just got an increase. They have secured several #1 classes before the stipend was put in place.

That would do wonders on so many fronts.

But I would argue that it's not just that we've lost to them the last five seasons. It's that we've shown that we're unwilling to make any changes that would make us competitive with them. It's like we're playing with a "non-compete" clause.

One of the timeless sales pitches to recruits is "we're going places and you can be a difference maker." For us that has become "we're maintaining status quo and if Fournette didn't make a difference (and sadly he didn't) what makes you think you can?"

Y'all do know Bama lost the NC this year to a school that over the past few years has not recruited as well as Bama. They had a WR walk on that killed them, so just saying LSU has the coaches to bring out the best in the players here.
