Army All-American Game Comments and Pics

All,
First post. I attended the US Army All American Game today. Here's what I came away with. All of our commits/targets were impressive:
Trey Quinn - Looked smooth in his routes. He played probably half of the West team's snaps today. QBs for the West just never really looked to his side. They seemed more inclined to throw it to Nacho whether he was open or not. Trey was targeted twice. He caught the one you guys saw for about 8 yards. The other pass was terrible and he may have had a hand in keeping it from getting intercepted. I haven't had a chance to look at the playback. There was one other pass play that looked like it was called his way but Jerrod Heard was sacked on the play. I would have liked to have seen that play as it looked like Trey broke away from his man deep.
When I spoke to him in the autograph session it was "yes sir/no sir"...very well-mannered. I told him he wasn't targeted a lot today and he gave a very diplomatic answer, that everyone at the game was just a really good athlete. I asked him if he had gotten along or bonded with anyone and he said he had with all of the LSU commits and that there were a bunch sitting along his row. I realized later that Davon Godchaux was sitting right next to him and felt bad when I had to come back to find him later.
Davon Godchaux - He obviously didn't play today, which is probably why I forgot to look for him right away, but I got his autograph and a picture. He's put together very much like Michael Brockers was when he came out of HS. He's a very easy 6'3/6'4 and solid. Very nice guy. Had a big smile when he turned around to see my LSU shirt. I asked him about his injury and recovery and he said he was doing well with it. I should have asked if he'd be ready for Spring but forgot.
Ed Paris - All LSU! He was the only guy that signed my program with LSU next to his signature. You probably didn't hear his name called that much today because they absolutely didn't throw his way. And, it showed away from camera too. He looked like he was having a good time and recognized my LSU shirt immediately. He had a big line of autograph seekers and he may have had parents behind him recording his autograph session with an IPad.
Clifton Garrett - Looked really good. Very hard tackler and good mobility. When he hits you, you feel it and the fans hear it from the stands. He's built like a house up close. He said "Alright, some LSU fans!" when he saw my purple and gold and gladly posed for a picture. Very well-spoken. I told him I was in the military stationed in San Antonio and he thanked me for my service, very sincerely I might add, which I appreciated. He was already a favorite.
Kenny Young - played great today if you watched. He was all over the field. He was in the opposite rotation as Garrett so didn't get to see them together. He was sitting about two chairs over from Davon Godchaux. He said "Geaux Tigers" when he saw my shirt. I told him good luck with his decision and he said thanks, which prompted a Davon Godchaux comment. He said "C'Mon Kenny, you know you ain't going to LSU". I didn't get the impression he was just joking either but we'll see. Still, Kenny did acknowledge the colors.
Trevonte Valentine - Looked a lot quicker in the game than on his film. Got penetration on a lot of plays. Heard about him de-comitting on the way back to the parking lot. Unfortunately, I couldn't find him at any of the tables afterwards. I don't know how you lose a 6'4 295 lb defensive tackle but I did.
All in all it was a good day for our future tigers. I'd like to post the pictures but can't figure out how to get them in the message box. I took them from my iphone and saved them on my desktop. Can I get a little help?

People should send you $9.99 instead of Tigerbait or 24/7

Hate that about Kenny Young. Would love to get him. Why does he not want to go to LSU?

Interesting.
Godchaux also knew Speedy and GW weren't going to LSU

That's what they have him listed as in the program (actually 297). I thought it was a little off too.

That's awesome man. Sounds like we have some high characters guys in addition to all the talent

This is just a good kid. I was very impressed with him after meeting him @ the practices. Funniest thing was because he couldn't practice he was hanging around in the back of the end zone pretending like he was a QB running the zone read with another player. Funny how serious people get but @ the end of the day they're still kids. Don't let the size fool you
Same with Clifton. Very polite. Talked about being in Baton Rouge. Yes sir/no sir. (I'm not that old). Seemed excited to see someone rockin the purple & gold. Took the time to take a picture with me.

Good read. Thanks for the info.
Man Kenny deserves to get more attention. If he goes to LSU he makes the defense better.

247 has him 41 lbs heavier. Kids a monster, and needs to shed a few dozen, but we need the big uglies...

Great summary.
I'm disappointed to hear that news about Kenny Young. I really want him to be an LSU Tiger. However, that is good information...I'll will now keep my expectations low for a possible commitment from KY to LSU.
