Coach Miles can recruit as well as Coach Satan or any other coach. If you notice that ever since Coach Satan got to Alabama, Coach Miles has been offering more Alabama recruits to Scholarships? Recruiting is a Dog eat Dog World out there. Don't worry LSU and Coach Miles will be in the top 10 in recruiting after this year is over too.

We were lucky to get in that game too.

Come on dude are you serious? If you want someone who was lucky to get in the Championship game look no further than your own, Les Miles. He backed his arse into the Championship, you know it and I know it along with the all of college football fans know it. It had to almost take a miracle for ya'll to get in and it somehow happened.

You are a joke. Come back when the great coach gets you there.

it took two late night wac/mtn west type games to come out the right way for USC's SOS to go low enough to put LSU in...

as far as 07 is concerned, some one was going to "back in" no matter who went. You play out the season and see what happens.

If you think we were lucky in 2008, just ask your coach how lucky his Bayou Bengals were to beat out USC and play Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl for the 2004 BCS Championship; Saban needed ND to lose to BYU on the second to last weekend, and he needed Hawaii to lose to Boise St. and ND to lose to Syracuse on the last weekend to beat out USC--Nicky knows lucky!

Petey knows lucky when the Associated Press voted USC #1 after they didn't even play in the N.C. game; that will never happen again.

Lucky is as lucky does!

not trying to get into the 'lucky' debate, but the AP had USC no. 1 before the bowl games, thus they really just left them on top. If that scenario happened again, (the no. 1 team getting left out of the BCSCG) I believe the AP would most definitely vote that team no. 1 after the bowls, assuming they won their bowl game.

If I remember correctly in 2004 LSU was the highest rated BCS team. If USC had been earned the right to play in the BCS Championship, Oklahoma would have staid at home.
