Juco signees aren’t considered “transfer portal” signees

Any of these likely starters next year?

Reaves, Priester and Schmidt all have gaudy juco numbers. Sometimes that translates and sometimes it doesn’t. I would say your only guaranteed starters next year are Bear, if he comes back, and Milam. There are several others that you could call highly likely, but until you see what the transfer portal brings or takes away, and what the draft does to the existing team and the signing class, there’s no way to really project a lineup.

I think Reaves has the potential to step in at second base if Milam moves over to shortstop.

Priester will push Neal and should see some time behind the dish. He was still a bit raw coming out of HS position-wise, but his physical abilities are phenomenal.

I read an article that put Reaves the number 4 JUCO and the top position player. Ware came in at number 5. Priester is the top JUCO Catcher. Schmidt is an option at 1b if Jones moves on. All 4 or good options but none are considered immediate starters right now. They will have to prove themselves to be considered.

That’s any player on any roster ever

True, but that answer would make the question irrelevant.
I believe the OP is wanting to know the expectations of the JUCO.
There are no expected starters like White, Holman etc. Just some talented guys that have a chance if they can hit at SEC level.

Larson is pretty much a lock, and I wouls guess some assurances will be made to Brown if he plays a position instead of pitching

Where is the list and the school they played?

I would add Larson as a lock to start. Brown and Pearson probably start, but not as confident to call them a lock. I think Herring comes back and is a lock if so.

With experience at a premium and the other options a true freshman and JUCO transfer, Neal will likely be at least a part-time starter behind the plate, especially early in the season. Hopefully his consistency hitting the ball improves this offseason.
ETA- or not… The portal makes thinking about the future today a total crap shoot.
