I was going to start a thread about who in the hell would play IMG academy but I pulled their 2016 schedule. They play some national powers across the nation. Many future tigers are on the IMG roster so just wondering if any of you guys are gonna go see them play. I would post the schedule but I am at work now. They play Trinity Christian (Kevin Tolliver's old hs)this upcoming season in Jacksonville so I will go check it out. I also saw they play in Shreveport this season. Anyone else gonna go watch them play this season?

I might, but I doubt it. WM vs Curtis and Evangel vs Neville is Friday night. IMG doesn't play until the last game Saturday. I'd like to watch, but doubt I stick it out that long honestly. If they were playing a LA team is be more inclined. For some reason the "Battle on the Border" changed the format this year. It's not Louisiana vs other states. The LA teams are all playing each other.

I'm going when they play Southern Lab because I have a cousin that plays for them . Place looks like a University! Last year they were trying to get a couple of LAB kids ! Chris Allen, Kardell Thomas, Cam Thomas, And Jaques Wallace. IMG went after those kids and I saw it !

I will watch them vs grayson high school (grayson's opener) down the road in Loganville, ga. I'll pass along some info/opinions from the game. 15 247 players involved. and that's just the seniors. img is loaded, of course, and grayson has become the "90's evangel" of Georgia. so many studs transferring there.

Hopefully we can get some posters perspectives of our recruits from each game. You got the the Georgia game, I got the Jacksonville game, and we got a local right by the IMG stadium in Tampa. Everyone wear their LSU gear to the games also

Hard to believe anyone would want to play a recruited all star team.

Until they start blowing everyone out they will have opponents lined up.

Supposedly, they play Grayson in the Atlanta area. A friend's grandson plays an for Grayson. I will try to get to that game.

They have been having a hard time with their scheduling actually.

Well IMG's roster is filled with legit men with college sizes. 6'5" 310 no problem they got 4 of them, 230 Lb's check, 210 safeties check.

As stated in my OP I saw LSU's latest commit was 6'3" safety and headed to IMG. I thought they were loaded with size and talent. Who DA fuq would play all those D1 recruits?

They do a lot of "exhibition games", right?

So teams use them as a some sort of practice for their real schedule that matters.

They actually lost a game last year. The real question is who would want to pay that much money and not have any shot at winning? They don't play real games, just exhibitions. They do not compete in the playoffs in Florida.

Well now that you mention it I don't recall them in the playoffs out here. So I guess these academy's will be the death of high school football then. The college coaches will just head over to the academy's now? People at high school games will be like man I wish we had or still had Joe smo(Made up name) yeah he's at IMG now.

I'll be there for the Battle on the Border. Looks like I'll have to go Friday and Saturday. Just wish they had split it up to all Louisiana teams playing out of state teams. I would have also preferred some different match ups featuring the same set of teams. Too bad Evangel isn't the Evangel of old. I'd have loved to see them play IMG regardless.

They may not compete for a state title but I believe they compete for a national?

I will be full on purple and gold at the home games. I can't wait. Also excited about going to the Swamp again to see LSU play. a couple years ago got the Outback Bowl too. Luckily I get some sort of tiger fix living here.

So are Louisiana teams only playing each other due to power rankings?
That system doesn't seem to be set for out of state games
