Adoree == Tyrann v2.0?

V2.0 would be correct, because in 45 years of watching football, I've never seen another. Unfortunately, I'll probably not live long enough to see v2.0 of Tyrann Mathieu. He wasn't the greatest corner I've ever seen; that would be Deion Sanders. He wasn't the greatest at LSU; that would be Patrick Peterson. But he was one of a kind.

Thats a pretty big claim right there. I would love to see him in that role but TM7 absolutely has a brain that was hard wired for persuit and tackling at birth in some underground government laboritory. The WRs of the NFL should all rejoice that TM isn't PP7's size or it would be ugly.

That said, I love our chances from him and truly believe that the Chief sometimes dreams of being able to field a secondary deep enough to run that 3-1-7 set on third downs that he used to do with TM7 as a nickel/blitzing DB.

The very simple and undeniable FACT that the Chief has already found playing time for all of those productive future NFL DBs in 2011 and 2012 should speak volumes to Adoree. I love our chances because of this and like hearing that he is making a business decisions on NSD. The kids that leave to go out of state will often wait till Jan or Feb to commit so that they won't have to hear it from the locals for as long as if they committed earlier.

PP might have been the best CB ever at LSU had he not left early, IMHO; your opinion enjoys strong arguments, however. In my view, 3-time All-American CB Dr. Tommy Cassanova remains the best CB ever at LSU. In light of the fact that he played running back and returned kicks with excellence argues he was the best athlete ever at LSU. It's hard to trump a 3-time All-American.

TM7 was the most dynamic at nickle back and at that position was the best play maker to ever play football. His instincts were uncanny and his intent unbending: Honey Badger took what he wanted.

As for Adoree, only Adoree knows.

It says a lot to be in the mix at this point. I honestly believe we have done everything we can and he has a really true idea of what LSU is about. He seems to really have a lot of respect for our program. We have a better shot than we did with willis and goodman. Nobody really knows, but I feel like LSU and USC have his full attention.

Think its more of a hint about how serious this coaching staff is about signing 25.

Mike Farrell says it is between UF and USC, which is like the kiss of death for those two schools

McGaughey to NFL = No Adoree.

Reason why we allowed the Gage commit.

Well then, I guess Cam Cameron and Cory Raymond just wasted their time last night. Guess they should've checked with you first.

Never said they wasted their time. But the writing is on the wall with AJ.

I don't get how these insiders think they know who it's between whenever adore has been tight lipped about his entire process. Also remember a lot of these "insiders" called 5/5. Just enjoy the ride, who knows where he'll end up, but I'm hoping he's a tiger!

"writing on the wall"

"i heard from a source"

"this insider says "

all these segways into predictions are just annoying now. I know it's how things go now, but it's really not doing anything besides sending convo's into circular, moot points.

adoree has a top 4, we made it in it. He's received a lot of attention and personal contact, especially for someone that lives so far away. I think we stand as good a chance as anyone. People that just assume USC bc of proximity is like saying the new orleans kids are lsu bc of the same. Distance and "staying home" just dont mean that much these days

I'm not saying this is bad analysis - I read both of these facts the same as you do - but the other thread about it being between USC and Florida? I'm not sure what to make of that. I've always believed if Adoree came south it would be to LSU. If he doesn't, it is USC or UCLA - he's literally right there already.

Okay so with Cam going to LA to recruit Adoree and him canceling his final visit, how are you feeling about landing him as of right NOW?

I had said a few days ago I thought we had a 30% chance with him, but you know what, I honestly think we have a legitimate shot here. I'd go as far to say 60-70% now.

Im not trying to pump too much sunshine, but I just have a really good feeling about this one. A feeling that was not ever present with TB or Speedy.

How are y'all feeling about him?
