This will be our weak spot next year. Ingram and Charles look the part at guard. Still not sold on Deculus at LT. Hope im wrong but i see guard in his future. Stewart seems to be a project. Just seems that oline recruiting especially OT is our achilles heel. Does Grimes get a pass on this ?

I was looking at 2018 offensive tackles and the players on our board was all out of state. They have the Rosenthal kid from Ferriday listed as defensive tackle.

I'm never worried about LSU football recruiting. They always work themselves out and we always sign great players. It will not stop either. Lsu will always recruit outstanding.

Agree. Guy more than held his own on the edge at the all star game and practices. Likely best we have on this roster. KJ Malone not the answer at that position.

Sorry, i beg to differ. While i will agree that i may not be as sharp as you as far as recruiting goes, in my opinion , and keep in mind that im not the sharpest knife in the drawer, that oline recruiting is one of main reasons we have lost to bama last five years. Mainly tackle and center positions.

No. A pedestrian arse offense that cannot throw the football is one of the main reasons along with the non-development of our QB'S is why we have lost to Bama the last five years... idc how good your o-line is, if they're stacking 9 in the box to make you a one dimensional football team you'll still have the same result if you have QB's that can't beat it.

It will interesting to see how Canada's offense impacts the O Line. We don't have the horses we've had in the past but I think it will still be the most talented O Line Canada has ever had at his disposal.

The past few years defenses have been able to put 8 guys in the box and focus on stopping the run. Even the best O Lines have trouble with 8 man fronts because of math. 8 > 5/6. Now if Canada can do some things to keeps the Safeties back and spread the front seven out, then we'll be just fine.

A misnomer. Bama stacked the box very little against us, or anyone for that matter.

No doubt they confused the crap out of guys, but it was mostly technique and scheme that whipped our rear ends.

No they were very heavy with 8 in the box. They'd roll one of their safeties into the box late.

I don't understand why people keep saying AD can't play tackle. He has pretty good athletic ability for his size

Well... The last two years, the tackle position has been affected by the center position, since we've had to put our best LT(Pocic) at C.

Hopefully, Cushinberry(or however it's spelled) can remedy that soon. He's a pure center.

Yeah, or move Clapp to C and have Maea and Brumfield at G. And unless Deculus just shows up and shows out, that's how I predict the interior line to look with KJ and Toby at LT and RT.

Let's not forget Willie Allen, Andy Dodd. Malone should be a lot better this year.
