Let me preface this by saying our '17 class is incredible. I'll take K'Lavon over any player in this class, Phillips is easily the top ILB in '17 and too many damn people are sleeping on Shelvin, no one could stop him in camps.

In the past we've had ace recruiters at RB coach with Larry Porter and Frank Wilson. Juluke landed one commitment from Racey. He struck out with Akers and then missed an easy layup with Etienne. I'm looking at the 2018 RB's and I have zero faith that Juluke can go out and land a big one. Meanwhile FSU has a guy like Jay Graham who just landed 2 - 5* backs and a 4*.

I'm not sure why we weren't recruiting Etienne or Tonielle Carter the entire time. Both of those guys showed genuine interest in LSU and said we never reached out. You can't tell me "Oh well he went after Akers and that was it" because that's horse shite. Spend 5 min of your day and call each of the other kids as back ups. Having ties to the state is a thing of the past, a lot of these kids don't even go where there mom wants them to. We need a relentless recruiter.

TLDR: Juluke is underwhelming and I don't think he has the ability to land a big RB.

He definitely swung and miss on more than a few recruits this year that's for sure. If this happens two years in a row I don't see him apart of this staff next year..

I don't believe anyone can replace Frank Wilson. Juluke needs to get some really great backs in the 18 class. If he's still around..

'Member when tRant wanted to add him because he was such a great recruiter?

I don't have strong feelings about Juluke. As far as I know, we only pursued 3 RB's, so missing out on 2 of them doesn't seem like a hideous result—especially since Akers was one of the misses and I don't really hold anyone responsible for losing the #1 ranked recruit at their position (they get so much hardcore attention that signing them is more or less a lottery).

Yo are comparing him to established coaches, he's going to be fine. So you don't give him credit for CEH? What makes you think he wasn't recurring Etienne the entire time? Recruiting doesn't = offer. He never said we weren't recruiting him, he said we didn't offer him until after Cam committed to FSU. We were also recruiting Carter until he committed to UGA. The head coach has final say on who's offered not position coaches. Which leads to the number of offers we handout. Fans complain EVERY YEAR about that compared to BAMA. Juluke was the only reason we even had a chance with Cam, Frank wasn't even recruiting him.

How many big time OOS RBs did Frank sign?

I know you want to blame someone, but it's not warranted at this time. If we don't get two big time RBs this year, I'll be with you

I agree with this. He hasn't even been on staff a full year. We offered Etienne very late and he was butthurt. He gets another year, then we will see

It could just be coincidental. This board knows nothing either way about his recruiting acumen. It's hard to give him shite on Etienne when the kid didnt have an offer until the last minute. That is a big hole to dig out of.

shite, remember when we hired Dennis Johnson? tRant threw a goddamn fit. Now he is pulling in our best recruit at the last minute. Truthfully you guys know nothing

To be fair to him, Ettienne not going to LSU had nothing to do with who was recruiting him and Akers was an out of state national prospect.

If there wasn't so much transition on the staff vs. Florida St. coaching security(and promises he'd be starting day 1) we would have landed Akers. This straight from Akers mouth. There was even negative recruiting that Canada would bring his own offensive staff with him and Juluke wouldn't be on staff. This isn't all on Juluke.

We told Akers the truth. Guice is the man. You will get some touches and compete to start the year after.

Etienne was star struck by the national champs.

I'm giving Juluke a year to see what he's got. We already have interest from 2 high profile 2018 tailbacks. Let's see if he feels them in

I don't blame him for Etienne in the least, but there has been a ton of chatter that he's out of his league. I won't be shocked at all if it's announced he's moving on in the next couple days.

How stupid is this, Juluke is the New Orleans recruiter, we didn't offer many guys this cycle in the N.O and we only had room for two RB, we where in on the best rb in the country even without a OC until the end. He also was the point man for Lowell, and Racey remember that.

He needs to go. He was brought here for one reason: to recruit, especially Nola.

He was wholly unsuccessful.

Not being in the war room & listening to the coaches discuss recruiting, it is hard to blame 1 coach for missing on any 1 recruit...

As a recruiter he hasn't done well this year, but as far as coaching goes... he had two running backs break the single game rushing record this year and the production of the running backs year round as a first year coach was very good. Based off that I believe he warrants another year, if he craps the bed in recruiting running backs for 2018 then he absolutely has to go because this is the biggest need for next year.
