Anybody hear of this kid Sterling Suggs from Denham?

I am from Baton Rouge and a die hard Catholic Bears fan. I go to every game every year and when we traveled to denham their tight end caught my eye. #17 Sterling Suggs, I was really impressed by his performance, Didn't know much about him but I found this video on YouTube and he seems to have some raw talent and good size for maybe a slot receiver in certain systems. Anyway just wanted to get some others input on this kid.

I have a question. You saw this kid play last august and you are just posting about it now? That's a little weird. Now if you are related to the kid, most here appreciate honesty and will give you honest feedback.

Hahaha I guess I underestimated the knowledge on this board, I tried to pull one over on y'all and got busted, for that I apologize. Just wanted an outsiders opinion on him because it's hard to get an honest one from a denham fan.

First, yeah be honest and it will go a long way on this board.
Second, welcome and good luck to your brother.
From a quick search, your brother is listed anywhere from 6'3" 200 lbs to 6'2" 215 lbs. That's pretty good size for a Jr. The highlight film shows he has good hands, but I couldn't tell how fast he was. He was wide open a few times, but got run down by some DBs. Also, I never saw him block anyone and he only got hit once coming off the line before making a catch. Granted, it's a highlight film, so there's only so much to see.
Has your brother attended any camps or will he and is he receiving any interest from schools yet?

He went to an LSU camp before his junior year and plan to go to a few more this year but the only college showing interest so far is LA tech

Yea, the college teams that use the TE position need them to be able to block. It would be good to see some tape of him blocking.
@ Epic, Also you need to post some of his times. 40, vert, etc.

Thanks for the advice man! I don't know any of these stats off hand but he's been training with a fellow named Jeremy McGee, working on his strength and speed. He plans on going to the combine at Zachary high this month so I'll know a lot more of what he is capable of then.

I saw him play several games this year. My amateur opinion is if he can get his weight up to the 225-230 range he could play at a D-1 level. Reminds me of the Smelley kid at Bama a little bit.
