I hate this pulling out the hat crap and kids not feeling that their word means anything. I don't see where getting emotionally tied up in this thing makes a lot of sense.

Yep.... I pay some attention on NSD, but it doesn't make or break my day/week/year/or life if 1 kid or another does or does not pick LSU.

I hope I NEVER meet you in person... you are the most negative son of a bitch I have ever come across.

In fact -- did you sit in the SEZ and Yell, "JJ Sucks.... Miles sucks" the entire Arkansas game.... untill JJ ran a 60 yard TD, at which point you left for pizza?

Huh... 'cause I didn't think there could be two ASSHOLES that big in Tiger Stadium --- or calling themselves Tiger fans.

Dude--- you and I are always on opposite sides... I can say without ever having met you... I think you are a jackass and you just piss me off with your constant negativity.

Russell Shepherd was the No. 1 rated dual-threat QB three years ago. Since we've never sen him play QB,
and as far as I can recall ever throw a pass, we didn't exactly get a first-rate QB. I hear Miles promised him time at the "wildcat"position with some passing responsibility if he stayed, but who knows? I guess I'm not too shocked....his brother is at ND; Mettenberger has 2 years left. Rivers should have at least a working knowledge of the system; Miles' reputation for handling/developing QB's not very good.

Goober --- none of this is directed at you... just the RS "situation" in general.

Yet, for "some" reason not 1 major program was going to offer him AS a QB....

Miles gave him the chance to try out for QB... RS himself figured out mid-way through his freshman year that he was not an SEC quality QB and that there are no teams in the SEC that run an offense that is based on a Running QB..... (some exception for the Cam Newton AU team... but even there, he was a passer too).

So LSU got a gifted athlete that really doesn't have a good spot in big time SEC college football.... he's not a return guy, he's not a WR, he's not a RB, he's not a QB.... so some how many people attribute this to Miles not utilizing him.

Yet, could you imagine the uproar if we were playing RS at QB and NEVER successfully throwing the ball... it would be a dissaster for sure.

Recruiting is a big part of college football, I get it... but dang the Freak Out over the Landon Collins committment to Alabama and now this possible Gunner Keil to ND.

Don't freak people... it's ok --- we are stacked at DB and have seemingly 2 or 3 QBs on the roster now. Which gives us 2 - 3 years to find another QB.... there's a #1 QB in every recruiting class.

well it somewhat hurts when you out-talent teams to win. we have to ensure that we keep a lockdown on that top talent

i'm not freaking out, but i can understand why people do

I appreciate the information found here and would be kinda bummed if Kiel decides to go elsewhere, but I think the overall culture of this board is pretty pathetic and more than a little creepy.

slow flow while i agree CLM needs to be more creative on O at time's. I think is RS is really athletic but he needs to work on his catchinh he has droped alot of passes since moving to reciever...I think we could use him more on jet sweeps but he needs to look at himself as well he is partly to blame for his lack of sucess..1/9 excluded he should have been more involved..

As far as QB's most athletic QB's need to go to smaller conferances to be a moble QB... SEC hasn't had many great duel threat guys... but there are acepttions but RS is to small to be running qb in the SEC.. just my .02

What about Jarred Randall....is he not another "dual-threat" QB? Is he a Jefferson clone. The film shows him throwing long, but also tucking it and running when protection breaks down. If Coach Miles doesn't like the pass-blocking of his O-line next year, and with 4 returning RBs with experience, then I can envision....ooooh, it hurts to think about.
