He stated he is committing before Easter. Anyone have any guesses. No fanfare. He said he is listing no schools just committing to his choice. that's the way to do it....

Wonder if the staff would take his commitment before Caleb Williams commits..?

Boy this place will be fun if the staff pushes Nussmeier out before Williams’ commitment and he goes to Penn State anyways.

I believe there was a post recently that Caleb Williams was committing in Feb? If that’s the case then everything should work out.

If the staff thinks Nuss is the real deal I’d take him.
If CW thinks he’s any good he won’t care that we have another QB supposedly inferior to him.
Worry about keeping Nuss IF Caleb even comes here. I sure AF wouldn’t tell Nuss no HOPING he comes here

Caleb told me the other night that he's committing within the next two months and that he'll more than likely make a top list soon

That would be perfect. Ideally, LSU gets Williams first then Nuss either joins (doubt it, but wouldn’t hate it) or goes elsewhere. If Williams commits elsewhere first, then LSU accepts Nuss commitment.

I’d personally be happy with either. This PGC hire should get some positive vibes going for both.

Well I’d rather Nussmeier than neither.... which is a real possibility under your apparent scenario

If we did that we would be out on Williams. You know that q and a posted on this board where he said he's upset at uga? Same reason. Both schools told him they wouldn't take another qb before he commits. So if we want Williams we have to wait it out.

I've seen before that Nuss knows we are waiting for Williams and it seems he's ok with that and will commit after Williams. Now if Williams delays it may change that.
The kink in the cog is that I don't think Nuss is next on the board. Never know how it will look when we make the next hire.

Williams is the better prospect at this point. Who knows how he and Nuss will eventually develop, but I am in agreement to go after Caleb first.

I love nussmeier's game. He makes all the throws, throws an accurate ball letting his receivers run after the catch, moves well in the pocket, and by all accounts is a very smart player which is no surprise based on his upbringing. He is by no means a fall back guy. If we don't get Williams, I would be just as excited to get this kid. No idea how he isn't ranked higher.

I don’t know about that. I understand the rankings but if you purely evaluate each of their reels I think Nuss is every bit as promising. People like to evaluate the athlete that Williams is and I think that what gives him an edge for most. But I see some damn good passing qualities in Nuss and love that he’s the son of an OC who understand the highest level of QBing in college. That does count for something

This shouldn’t have any bearing on current QB/WR recruiting as we just saw Brady jump after one year. The only way the hire will/should affect 2021 kids is if the hire will basically be OC in waiting......

Not down on Nuss at all. Just give the edge to Williams. 4.57 40 gives you a different dimension at QB. True “dual threat”.

You saw how many times Burrow hurt defenses with his legs and he’s probably a 4.7 range guy.
