Like many of you, I want Amik in this class. However, at this point, it looks like Todd Harris may take his spot. Thoughts? Do we have room for both?

Harris is a Bama lean

I don't think Amik is a priority he seems more like a backup plan. But he's obviously good enough to get an offer. If we can't flip him from la tech we've got serious problems

I think they'll try to get someone to grey shirt In order to fit Amik

No recruit should be a backup plan if he fits your system. I beleive thats whats wrong with our recruiting we look at backups plans instead of starters plans. A player should be offered only if he fits our system not as a contingencies to fill spots. We offered a kickoff specialist that doesn't get touchbacks or he kicks it out of bounds. Amik should get his scholarship! He could be return specialist just a thought.

Yes, but we'd probably have to miss on several other targets

We can take 27 this year, I'm just assuming we wont land everyone we want and that there may be room for him in the end.

Unfortunately if you're not Alabama you can't just take as many as you want so you have to prioritize who you want, and if you don't get all of them you have to have back up contingencies.... It's the only responsible way to make sure you keep your team staff with the proper players

I pray to sweet king cake baby Jesus that we get Amik. Watching his film you can definitely see elite instincts in the kid. He may be undersized, but Tyrann says hello.

If it happens then we missed on a couple of key targets. Since I don't want that to happen I'll say no, both don't make it in.

Harris isn't a Bama lean and they may not have room even if he is.

I think you see him in this class. But that's just an opinion.

I read somewhere that he decommitted from Tech.

He did and quite frankly I am surprised Amik didn't commit moments after getting the offer. This one has me a bit confused to be honest.

With JaCoby Stevens and Grant Delpit in this class, I would prefer getting K'Lavon Chaisson over Harris and Amik. we have 8 spots left and Harris, according to Shea, would fill the 8th spot. I know K'Lavon is leaning UT but in a perfect scenario I'd take him in that 8th spot and neither Amik or Harris.

Realistically, from what I've been reading, it looks like what everyone else is saying: If Harris goes to Bama, Amik will fill his spot on NSD.

I disagree you look at your roster and determine what positions are needed scout and access players rank the kids that fit your system and offer the players that you want. Example If you want to take 2 WR you rank them offer the 7 players you have on your board and move on to recruiting them. Make it competitive we are NFLSU so commit and get your spot.

Most recruiting sites are listing Harris 100 percent all in for LSU. Also heard Bama doesn't have any room for him.

I'd take him before I'd take Amik, as Amik is only 5'9" 165lbs.

havent seen harris play dont know what he can do but i do know amik is damn talented and reminds of tyran mathieu. i really would like amik chaisson, etiene, gay and phillips to commit to lsu tigers and that bryant kid that supposed to be a damn good pass rusher
